Today I stumbled upon a news site that displays Adsense ads although I use Adblock Plus. They somehow manage to overcome limitations imposed by this plugin and I would like to do the same.

Can you suggest any proven method to do that?

Can you send me the link to the news site, Id like to take a look

I use propellerads on my site and they give me anti-adblock code and it looks like obfuscated javascript code.
I think most ad sites probably use this method to bypass an adblock plugin.
Try javascriptobfuscator[dot]com to generate some code and test it out on your site.
Let us know if it works :)

Hi There,

On Firefox: Click the AdBlock Plus icon and choose Filter Preferences from the menu. Uncheck “Allow non-intrusive advertising” and you are done.

On Chrome: Right-click the AdBlock Plus icon in the address bar on the right, then choose Options and uncheck “Allow non-intrusive advertising.”

On Opera: Click the Opera menu button in the left corner at the top (on OS X: click Window at the top), choose Extensions, find AdBlock Plus there, click on Options and uncheck “Allow non-intrusive advertising.”

On Internet Explorer: Click the AdBlock Plus icon in the status bar on the right, then choose Options and uncheck “Allow non-intrusive advertising.”

On Safari: Click the AdBlock Plus icon in the address bar on the left, choose Options, and uncheck “Allow non-intrusive advertising”

On Android: Click the AdBlock Plus icon in the notification bar at the top, then uncheck “Acceptable Ads / Allow some non-intrusive advertising.”

Hope this might help you.

Maybe it's not a trick at all and it's just your Adblock settings. You may allow non-intrusive ads to go through.

Non-intrusive advertising; I think this is the real culprit.

The fact is that advertisers many times contacts Adblock Plus and apply to be whitelisted as a default.
It requires the advertiser to send them an excel with many of the ads and pay some sort of bribe, after they're doing like they went over your ads, your domain get whitelisted (which means that most of the ads going to your site will be visible to users, it includes banners but doesn't include aff ads that are going through tracking servers that are not Google's).
I've done that and it works great, even improves QS on search since for many of the users you are the only one the user can actually click on and it improves the CTR.

So that's bribe part... you did it, right?
But why call it "bribe"? Yea I know but it sounds so blackhat-ish lol

Yes, you're right. It can be called a ransom too.
ADP holds your ads captive until you pay up. :)

It's quite easy. Just copy-paste. Do you have any existing code to show ads on your site?
Just go to javascriptobfuscator[dot]com and in online obfuscator page just paste you code.
It will give you some code and you copy paste the new code between your <javascript> tags.
