As I said above, I'm a complete newbie. I just recently released my website, pcgamingaddict.com. I would appreciate any advice you can offer. Im currently reading the other shopify forums and taking into consideration some changes I have to make.

TBH gamers are really particular about their gear. Most of them would not go for cheap Chinese products imo. But still, good luck on your journey!

A friend of mine said the same thing. So I was thinking about maybe switching to clothing.

I tried this niche mate, Gamers know about stuff they buy. I think you should change your niche tbh. No gamer will buy a chinese product. Good luck !

Yea, as a hardcore gamer myself, I would never buy anything from the shop tbh. Just sharing my opinion, not wanted to spread negativity or anything
So I should change to clothes? If so, I've always been confused at whether or not I can use pc game characters and things on my shirt designs.

Clothing is really tough as well: problems with sizes (many things from China are too tight or loose), typically low margins and high brand loyalty. If you manage to build a brand though it can be enormously profitable.

So can I have some advice moving forward? I don't want to just give up.

Just choose a niche you are somewhat comfortable which, interests you or is fun and then start. You won't find the ultimate winner if you don't go deeper and really work on a shop for longer. I know people having started like 10 different shops, all of them online for like 2-3 weeks and thats it. If they would have concentrated that time on only 1 or 2 shops, they would be MUCH more successful now.

I agree. I want to try working on this store more. I'm asking for advice on somethings I can try to make it better.

I started a Shopify store recently too, although it is in a completely different niche. Just trying to get those initial customers!

I just got my first sale today everyone I'll be honest I didn't expect it, but it happened. All I've done is run ads and add blog posts. 102 sale.

They DO buy Chinese products but under AMERICAN brands. Gamers are very BRAND-conscious. Selling no-name Chinese goods is probably a non-starter.
