If you're low on budget I think it would be a better idea to promote on social media pages like instagram with massplanner or something along those lines. I'm not really sure as I am solely using facebook ads for traffic.

@Dresden thank you for the information!

I think most people will soon stop after trying out one or two ad campaigns as the costs are quite high for the first 3-4 days then gets cheaper. The point is to stick it out and keep trying until you finally succeed. It gets easier every day once you get the hang of it. Just got another sale today just from my first campaign so it's not rocket science. All you have to do is aim for products people are passionate about.

@Dresden funny because I was coming back to ask you about that actually, I wanted to ask how much would you tend to spend per test for a product. So, say you setup on a Facebook advert would you let it run at $25 for a day or something and see the ROI before giving up on it. I sat down last night and crunched some numbers and actually the time I would invest into getting a new product up on the site, including the advert graphics is not THAT big of a deal. What makes me wonder is how much $$$ I need to invest per test.

I established everything until shoplify has suddenly blocked my account..
Don't know why it happend though, I didn't promote anything yet on the website
they said they will review my account and get back to me

Hey buddy, do you use real bank for Stripe or virtual one?

So don't clients get annoyed by long delivery times from Aliexpress? I could do this for my own country (netherlands) but most webshops in my country offer a 1-2 day delivery on everything. I can imagine how somebody waiting 20 days for his toy can bring up some flaming towards my shop.

This question was already been answered MULTIPLE times...

Can you PM me your online store url, I want to learn it, thank's!

In the process of setting up my store. I have many questions but i have one that i don't see many people talking about. If using the oberlo app you can add your own personal debit or credit card and it will automatically order the item from the Aliexpress supplier on your behalf. I have heard of people using a credit card with a huge balance and using that as the main card you buy the items from the suppliers and also heard of people waiting for payment from shopify before ordering the item from the Aliexpress supplier.

I originally had paypal as my payment gateway until i remembered how shitty they are in terms of holding onto money for stupid amounts of time. I then decided to use shopify's payment gateway "Stripe" in the hope that i would receive the cash from them sooner than paypal. How are other people handling this issue? are you guys using a credit card to buy items from aliexpress individually/manually or letting oberlo do the ordering for you on your behalf.

An issue i can see arising is me getting a credit card slapping it on oberlo and as if by luck i get a sequence of orders and boom the card has reached its limit and im still waiting for the payment gateway to give me my cash which would leave in a catch 22 with no cash to buy more products and no ability to apply for yet another credit card. Now i know that getting and influx of orders to the point your credit card reaches its limit is very rare but can happen.

I use a real bank that I opened up in a supported country.

I set up an ad a few days ago using common sense. I liked the product but I needed to know if others do. I set up a PPE ad (only one) for $3.00, age 22-27, male only, selected a few targeted pages to go with it. First day I got a sale for $20.00. Two days later I got another sale for $20.00. Today I got two sales coming up to $40.00. That's $80.00 all together and I only spent $15.94 on ads. After taking away the product costs on ALI my profit comes out to $40. It's not much nut the important part is that I made some money. Now I know this method works and all I have to do is try different products and scale. Mr Cracker, just give this a try and you'll get a better understanding of how it works.

It's possible. I've already made a few sales following OPs thread but the thing is you need money if you're planning to do facebook ads. It's really not as easy as picking a product, a few targeted pages, writing an ad and waiting for the money to start flowing in. You need to choose a product, do lots of pin point split testing with different ages/devices/gender to see who is interested. Kill the ads that aren't working, leave the ones that are. Duplicate the working ad and try website conversions etc etc etc. Then you'll hopefully start making sales or make jack shit and you'll need to choose a different niche or different product. So in my opinion if you don't have much money that you're willing to invest and don't want to lose in the beginning then I wouldn't even bother with facebook ads. It's just not possible to make it big for someone who is just starting out.

I have actually been selling online for years. And I started with $50 facebook ad credit I got through GoDaddy. My advice would be to use a niche that has a decent following, but isn't completely saturated. For example, right now I would not try and sale anything related to Pokemon like the OP has listed. Since the release of Pokemon GO, the ads related to Pokemon are EVERYWHERE, and so the ad is gonna cost more to compete with everyone that is also selling Pokemon products. I recently started over from scratch and did everything the OP said to the T, except I used a niche that was not saturated (I used a knitting niche, LOL) I went to Audience insights on ads manager, I searched knitting. I used that info I found and put it into my ads manager when I created my first ad. I used the main "knitting" interest, I used a facebook page that was related to knitting, and I used a couple other of the "suggested" interests. I added the age demographic, which was older (40-65+), and used ONLY female demographic, and only in the US. I found a knitting kit on Aliexpress for $3.49, and ePacket shipping which was $5.37 total for the product and the faster shipping (faster delivery times = repeat customers). I then created an adset of a picture of the product which was 2000x2000 sized. When I created the ad I used terms like "Limited holiday sale" etc., and I set the price at $15.99 with FREE Shipping (rather than free+shipping) I set my ad to $7.50 ($52.20 per 7 days) , website conversions: ATC, and I set it for 7 day conversions . The first day I had 2 sales ($21.24 profit). Over the next 6 days I ended up getting another 17 sales ($180.54 profit) which payed for my ads with around $120 left. I continued the ads and right now I'm averaging around 10 sales a day, it's been running since the day after OP posted this tutorial.

I know that's a long ass message, I just wanted to list the changes of the method I used, and wanted to show you that even small niches with a low following can make you some killer money! Hope it gave you some ideas or some insight about trying this method. Good Luck!

Awesome! Do you have Skype so I could reach out to you? I have some questions I would like to ask in private. If so please send me a PM.

For those still iffy on this method, Oberlon (app to import aliexpress products to your shop, complete with images, sku, and bulk markup pricing) just became free! So it's easier and cheaper than ever to start your own shopify store!

This has been THE ONLY method I've tried that has earned me any profit so far. The main twists I suggest people think about is how to advertise, how to market your store (general or specialty) and how to twist the marketing model. (As many have noted, $10 shipping is a huge deterrent and I don't do that)

It also links up well with other methods, since you can more precisely choose the products to advertise instead of needing an affiliate link.

When you order products from AliExpress, use your affiliate deeplink to them as well! It gives you 8% affiliate fee. It's not much, but when you have 10 orders of 10 bucks a day it's still a free 8 dollars a day.

how does this weight base rate works with shopify ?
what if i have 100 products each weight 500 gram , how i would setup weight base rate?

what if user ads 100 items in his cart ?
do i need to create 100 rates?

That was already answered, read the previous pages...

Don't know how long OP have been doing this if it is long enough to say the SSN thing don't matter, maybe it is not they will ask for your other ID to verify your identity and it is not fun when someone else is holding your hard earned money. If at the end of the day you're not gonna get paid then it doesn't matter what you do and how much it's made you will end up losing money anyway.I think still it is best for US sellers only if outside of US you have to form a company to be able to use their credit card payment service.(Stripe)
Check this out: https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/pay...hopify-payments-account-on-hold-stripe-326129
And even you have a EIN you will still have to put in a person's name who has a SSN for them to verify.
