Any advice on ranking a Wix website?

I'm helping out a family friend, she's running a wedding business and struggling to make money so she came to me for advice and help on advertising. I've never ranked a Wix site before, I've only ever ranked wordpress sites and bespoke builds so I'm wondering if any of you could throw me a few pointers?

I heard that the way they've built the user platform limits some of the SEO ability. After I did some research I don't feel any clearer on the subject so I wanted to see what you guys think.

Hi! I am also struggling with this... Have a WIX site which I'm trying to up-rank on Google. Had bad experience with a backlink gig (from top authority, Gov. & Edu. Sites) which showed no improvement after 3 months!

I read that they have made some improvements with their code but can't get any conclusive answer or examples of Wix websites ranked 1st page on Google...

Would love to get this thread moving with good ideas, references and examples...

can you set meta title?
can you do a h1?
can you add content?
ist it index,follow?
