Hey Guys,
I'm going to keep this short and sweet, but I'd just like to tell you about when I first started IM when I was in my late teens,
So I was about 17 and Had interest in making money online, I thought ok, I'll try and act like a supermarket, buy low, sell high etc etc. Which eventually got me into the idea of dropshipping, even though I didn't know what the name for what I was doing actually was.
The plan was to buy from aliexpress and sell on ebay. I soon found a market in playstation controllers/skins.
This was perfect for me, as the knock off controllers I had bought before and I knew they were reliable. I bought them for $6.50 each including shipping and sold them at $19.99, with an added $6.50 for shipping incase people needed to return them to me, I wouldn't lose money from buying them and end up with a useless pile of controllers.
So I listed them, I also saw that my competitors were selling for $25 each, and soon, without realising what I really had done, my phone started pinging every couple of hours, I was making $10 hour (before charges) whilst only inputting my sellers details to aliexpress!
This soon turned into my phone going off once an hour, to once every 30 minutes during the day!
So here I was, only 17 making more money than my parents on good days with only a couple of minutes work, got a bit carried away with buying myself presents hahaha.
Anyway, after a couple of months, and a couple of $$ later I had to switch off as I got some warnings from sony
my controllers had their logo and looked identical.
I have since tried to do similar things with other niches, but have yet to reap any serious rewards
