Our website has abnormal spam traffic from reddit forum and livehacker in these 2 days.

Definitely High bounce rate will affects your site rating.

Normally google will automatically detect those kind of spam link. It wont affect your site it wont harm your site performance.

However some sites are affected by such spam links.

In that case, Make a list of spam link which is creating problem.

Disavow those links using google webmaster tools.

Think about how to reducing your bounce rating. If your website contents are engaging your visitors then it automatically gets reduced. Build your website with the high volume of real visitors to increase site rating.

You can filter the traffic coming from those referrals in GAnalytics from the admin's section. I also have those sources right now along with some secret.google.com trump support referral spam!

If it is direct traffic from reddit forum and livehacker, then Google does not count it at all as it doesn't know the intention of the user and doesn't know for which keywords to rank you higher.
