Yes, fees are 10%. It works like this. I list an item for $40 that sells on Amazon for $26. After eBay fees I get $36 and after Paypal fees I get $34.40. Still a profit of $8.40. There are tons of items with $20+ price differences. Like I stated, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE THE LOWEST PRICE ON EBAY.
This is also what I was trying to explain in the OP. Instead of asking "Will this sell or not", try to focus on finding items and listing them with your profit margin in mind. You never know what might sell and the only way to find out is to just list it yourself. Just go to Amazon, add the price markup that will get you the profit margin you want and see what sells.
You would be surprised on the things that sell and the things that don't.
Hi, I'm new to drop-shipping (this is my 2nd month) and I like your approach. Thanks so much for sharing. I have a few questions. I've listed so far about 1000 items and I'm only averaging of 3-4 items per day. I feel this is very low to make a decent profit and I'm working to bump it up 10-12 sales.
1. What's your way to find good items you want to list?
2. Do you have a certain price point you focus on? (I've started listing only items that are above $50 so that I can make more of a profit)
3. What percentage of margin do you generally set? Do you set a fixed percent for all the items you drop-ship or does it vary depending on the item?
4. How do you set your tax? Do you only set it for locations amazon has fulfillment centers?

How did you manage to list 1k listing? I mean that's so much of work to do. I use a nice template, and it takes me like 10min to get the listing done.

I'm from EU and it is possible, but since you can't have ebay debit card and hence no immediate access to the $ on paypal (unless it is a stealth account) you must either have funds to buy the items from amazon, or buy gift cards with paypal. But if you haven't got past the 21 day hold you can't buy the gift cards and must have startup funds.
Nobody asks for any invoice. Paypal sends you the order details including shipping address, you order from amazon to that address, later copy the tracking number and it's done.
Still, I have doubts whether if it is worth the trouble. The feebay fees + paypal fees + withdrawal fees + DOUBLE CONVERSION loss (you get USD from ebay, gaypal makes you withdraw in EUR and later when you buy new item - again EUR->USD conversion...) eat you alive. My stuff on ebay is priced at almost double the price of amazon, but when ebay sends the bill next month it makes me wonder did I even got that much in profit or went into negative, and I consider quitting.
Can you tell me why you have a USD > EUR / EUR > USD transfer?
Dont you sell the products in your own country and can trade with € only?

Yeah if you are going to target German customers you don't have that problem. But ebay and amazon do not have a branch in my country and I don't speak German well enough to be comfortable with selling on ebay.de, so I have to sell on US market.

Can I use Paypal account here instead of debit/credit card, because I don't live in U.S. And if I use paypal instead of credit/debit card, will there be a disadvantage?

You can absolutely use Amazon gift cards to buy the items on ebay! You might even be able to get the gift cards for less than face value if you search around.
Amazon doesn't accept PayPal as a form of payment, so you'll either need a credit/debit card or Amazon gift cards.

Hi SpacemanDivine. I can't find the policy section. I know it should exist in the account tab header and there should be a menu option with business polices but this option is missing for me. Appreciate your help.

I watched a youtube video about the 21 day hold paypal have for money received from ebay. Now I learned there are additional issue you can get when paypal limit your account and they want to know more about your business and then they want you to send documents. While this is going on they will hold out for weeks or even months and you have to remind them so that they remove the limitation block. Does this happen often? How do you deal with that?

Learned that if you add a tracking number you can call Paypal to decrease the wait. Does this work for you guys?
I also learned that after 90 days you don't get this hold any more. Not sure if I understod this correctly.
