engagement dying everytime instagram updates

so out of no where my account has been boring to hell with struggle.
2/3 weeks ago i was averaging 400-600 likes and about 125 followers a day.
i would do over 200 likes in the first hour easily
(all manual)
and then now the last few posts I've posted in the last couple weeks, it seems like i only do about 50 likes in the first hour.. its fashion niche.. also i think someone tried to hack my account within the span of this issue.. and Its killing me!!!

anyone have any advice.. my engagement literally dropped into the toilet.
Fashion niche, all original content.. 16.1k - and it feels useless now, whack!!

not the only one, my main account has been hit too. seems like pretty much everyone is affected. its just instagram being idiotic again throttling the amount of people that see our posts in an attempt to get people to buy into ads. even all manual accounts are affected now.

No wonder because it is owned by Facebook and they are doing the same thing to IG as they did to FB.

I've noticed a huge increase of terrible, shitty, bad bot behavior lately, and it's so predictable.

Follow, comment "Nice!" and then 2 hours later, they've unfollowed and removed the comment, but the account is still active. In addition other accounts that I've been scraping are getting decimated by crappy bots, most of the comments are trash and unrelated which makes the task of finding legitimate people that much harder, in fact I'm struggling to connect with real people in my niche now because of how bad that bot engagement is.

Maybe we're becoming our own worst enemies and the cause of the demise of legitimate growth and real engagement or maybe IG's algorithm has caused real people to miss what we're posting, resulting in low engagement.

this is almost exactly the issue, but it effects me majorly because its fashion niche and of course thats all about hype.. so most people won't engage, if engagement looks low.. sucks..

this speaks pretty much volume, i run manually, and i do notice myself following a lot of see mingling chinese, and indian and african faces, in niches they'd clearly know nothing about.. i think this is spot on to be about half the issue. but combatting this i do try to go into very distinct small niches hope this helps some.

whats tough for me is a have a couple smaller accounts i run, one my personal page, and one for photography and their engagement appears to not have been touched at all.. however they are growing slower in the following department.. got damnit instagram if it isn't one things its damn sure another.

has anyone here joined engagement groups? kind of want to join kind of don't want the responsibility. but if anyone has joined how has it helped you, and/or doesn't it actually grow your engagement and opportunities to create vitality

This is correct. I've noticed no drop in daily average followers or post engagement - if anything, the numbers are steadily increasing.

there are automated enegagement groups that you just set and forget. also people have different experiences with the groups you'd have to try for your self.
