I've only may have tried weed once with friends but apparently I don't inhale right lol. LSD only operates on chemicals that are already in the body. Primarily LSD act on the Serotonin receptors in the brain. There are 15 different serotonin receptors, but LSD specifically activates the 2A subtype (5-HT2A). The HT2A receptor is involved in cognitive processes in the prefrontal cortex, which controls a person’s impulsiveness.
In the late 60's and early 70's I had taken up to 30 hits of four way Window Pane with no effect. In the 80's I took 15 hits of Black Dragon with no effect. While this may be atypical, LSD has no effect on me. By the same token, I can drink Peyote tea and eat the buttons all day without feeling any effect.
Because of this inconsistent effect of LSD on people, I do not believe it should be use therapeutically. If you wish to use it recreationally, be my guest.

Youre probably right. It's not for the feint of heart (not a jab at you). If LSD and mushrooms are like a roller coaster ride then DMT is like being fired from a nuclear Canon (don't think that's a real thing).
LSD act on the same neuroreceptors as LSD, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, and Peyote. If two of the drugs in the class have no effect on me, then it is unlikely that the other would. And actually, shrooms (Psilicybin) also have no effect on me, so call it three.
On the other hand, the sodium channel blocking drug Trileptal has the effect on me that the drugs under discussion are alleged to have on other people.

There is actually some evidence to suggest that DMT binds to the sigma-1 receptor similar to cocaine and methamphetamine. Of course DMT also a naturally occurs in the human body (and just about everywhere else) so I wouldn't compare it to those things.
You might be the perfect test subject for further research on the whole sigma-1 hypothesis...
