OP did you see ? as i told you they didn't catch me after all ..... , to get membership reputation fast with your new account just post funny posts in the lounge , and copy copyrighted stuff from outside and paste it in BHW download section .... iit's just easy as that , so never worry about getting banned ....

@trustedfire9 - Mods can look into it & decide, I'm PMing them info to see if anything matches your acct but let this be a lesson to others who think they're so smart, you should keep your mouth shut as you brought this on yourself by being a dick in this thread for no reason. You and Ravager were the only ones to share that link EVER.... within a few days of each other, both of you do SEO, & have similar writing styles. Ravager was conveniently banned from BHW a few months before you joined, let's just hope you didn't sign into BHW from Sri Lanka or Malaysia :)

I shared a ton of valuable content back in 2009-2011 and was promoted based on a share I made/voted by fellow peers long before any of the current management took over - In fact I was denied once based on my history, a temporary ban I received & being an outsider. There was a Jr. Vip compromise and a digital investigator from Perkins Coie was on the forum gathering evidence against members here which was the basis for future lawsuits against a handful of BHW members. I had my post history wiped immediately upon being quietly tipped off, kept a low profile and luckily avoided some legal headaches.

I think I've only briefly spoken once with management regarding an account issue. This was purely based on trustedfire9 being a dick here for no reason which rubbed me the wrong way and I had a few minutes of spare time to kill. The point is he put a target on his back for no reason and if he did indeed slip up back in 2010 he has no one to blame but himself.
 
Follow the rules, you will not be banned. As simple as that.

If, as you guys and @Apricot say, that being "a dick", a "repeat offender" or "posting grossly abusive or offensive comments" gets you banned, how is it that threads like this are allowed?

Pretty sure there are some repeat offenders in that thread being "dicks" and posting abusive comments, yet they seem to get away with it without any bother at all. I notice a few C words flying around there too, yet none of the mods bat an eyelid. It's always the same handful of people, we all know who they are, yet nothing ever changes.

The guy they are attacking has done nothing wrong at all as far as I can see, and has added a lot to this forum in the past - yet he has to come and defend himself against baseless comments and accusations referring to his very successful business, and the mods here allow it to go on. Not a single person in that thread has been adversely affected by the guy they are attacking or even complained because they bought a service from the guy that wasn't up to scratch, not one.

Like I said before, all members on BHW should equally play by the rules, some members seem to be more equal than others though.

Is it any wonder that people like @MatthewWoodward don't post here any more, and many people like him with good knowledge of SEO have disappeared?

Do your jobs Moderators. This starts with moderating without bias. Maybe if you did that people would feel more at ease about posting helpful information here, as they will be less fearful of a baseless attack.

It didn't get reported, at least as far as I could see. I read a lot of stuff on the forum but I can't be everywhere. Same goes for the rest of the mods.

Matt Woodward is his own brand - generally, criticism of public figures is fair comment (I'll admit that, on reading it, the ad hominem attacks by Fishkin are pretty childish but the only person he's making look stupid is himself). If this was an attack on a member who hadn't set themselves up for this sort of scrutiny that would be a different matter entirely. Also, Matt is a smart guy who's making a lot of money. Having met him, I can't imagine that one of our baby trolls would bother him in the slightest - the fact that he's engaging here is great.

And this wonderfully supercilious tone: "moderate without bias" - this isn't a thing. There are hundreds of little cliques and groups with conflicting interests and competing services or cultural differences. You no idea how many "it isn't fair, you let him get away with too much" comments I get, often from both the people who are arguing with each other at the time. Your "objective moderation" is another person's extreme bias. We try to stay as unbiased as we can but pleasing everyone just isn't feasible. Whatever we do, there'll always be someone moaning.

I don't know why these morons are coming in here and talking down on a group of people who moderate a forum and don't even get paid to do it. It's always the weird conspiracy theorist people too. They always say shit like "Mods HELP people scam". I used to see it on SomethingAwful A LOT back in the day.

Just do you thing, contribute to the forum however you can, and stay in your own damn lane. How hard is that really.
