I scrape for expired web 2.0s using Scrapebox and filter out the ones that return a 404. Then I filter those out by Moz DA and start registering the ones with the most links.

Use expired web 2.0's whenever you would use usual web 2.0's. They are delivering good juice for the effort and if maintained properly they last long.
