Can BHW Mods Read Our Private Massage?

Reading people's PM's is not a general permission - we take people's privacy seriously.
However, if there's a dispute based on PM's then an admin is able to go in and verify if someone's being truthful but the message content will remain confidential except for a "yes, his story is correct" comment.
The new forum platform logs whenever someone reviews a member's PMs and we check the logs regularly to make sure that it is done only when necessary and appropriate.

Only admin of the website can do that , if a person or a account has been reported via the authorities.
But even then, there the human writes act and privacy act ,protecting people.
I think there have to be a court case, to read or go thru a members message inbox.

Although I'm a small guy here - I do run big (racing) forums in the UK and we use the same software. We also have the ability to review PMs
(admins only) if and only if requested by a user. When something is reviewed, its logged and I can see what action was taken blah blah
We can also login as anyone who is a member but its logged, like Apricot has said. This isn't a standard feature of the forum software though
As said, I'm a small guy here but I'm not to running forums, but I can vouch for what has been said...
All BHW Mods have access to All BHW member Private massage, It happened to my friend about 2 month age and he recorded the screen and I will upload it on Youtube ASAP

It was explained above by the lovely and talented Ms. @Apricot who has access and it ain't the Mods.
And, although I can't speak for all of them by any means, I bet most of us do not want that access. I sure don't.
Those are private conversations that a Mod has no business having the freedom to just pop in and see what they are.

I heard the new forum software allows them to read your mind too so grab some foil and directions for creating a hat ASAP.
Side note: I love the number of replies from non-staff members with a definitive answer that they can read the PM's even after the staff have posted that they can't.
Does anyone read any of the replies before posting their own opinion which is nothing more than an assumption about a subject they clearly know nothing about?

Be quite what? I am not quite sure what you want me to be.
I'm sure this is the most logical response to post as a moderator, since it sends a hypothetical sense of trust in you, and posting otherwise would lower trust in you / the moderators. But surely if you had a chance to view all PMs secretly with no chance of ever being caught you would take it in a heartbeat? After all, you'd probably have access to some invaluable online marketing data, stuff that doesn't and won't ever get shared on public forums (or until it no longer works). Unless of course these 15-post multi-millionaire ballers are too paranoid to even talk about these secrets / insider info shit in BHW private chat; after all, sharks can seem unassuming in the real world and especially so in an online forum.
Oh and don't bother answering the question above, I meant it in a bit of a rhetorical sense, since there's only one answer you can realistically give.

I doubt if mods read our PMs because me and other Jr members keep saying bad things about mods through PMs ... if they read we will be banned now ...
