Making money playing RedAlert 2

Hi BHWers,

I heard some stories about people making up-to 3 hundred thousands $$$$ playing Red Alert 2 on some servers (probably in Asia ??). Not sure if there are competitions. Can some body share some information about this?

. In its description it says, the winner has won 50 USD. So I am not sure 50 USD vs 300 K USD per game. Do you think the stories I heard are just stories.

I have seen some proper gaming competition which were held in Asia and it came on news even. The winner was a kid from Karachi Pakistan, won some 1 million USD I think.
 
I doubt you can get a prize pool that big for red alert. League of legends yes.

That guy was playing Dota 2, won 1.2m
You need some high experience, skill and a team to compete there.
 
You probably won't have a chance in every serious tournament of this games if you ain't an asian superkid who is able to perform 86 different keyboard shortcuts per minute.

But I even highly doubt that there's a price pool that large for this game.
 
Yeah seems so from google search results. It may be other game titles. But Earning 300k would require some pro expertise.
 
Forget about winning it. Only pros can win such things. Do you play games 70 hours a week? If not, you are not good enough. Even If you do , you are not good enough to win it. Simple as that.
