I don't really use tools much any more, but I own most of 'em and I can comment somewhat. This is all in my dark past. These days I'm a lot more conservative and I hug trees and eat less meat.
Alright, down to the why's :
1- Xrumer
Why? For shits and giggles. When I was bored I wanned see how much damage I could do tweaking the settings just to see how much shit I can spread on the walls everywhere around me.
Xrumer is like nuclear weapons you don't really need any precision. It's gonna blast shit everywhere no matter how far you are from the target.
Really powerful black hat tool, probably the epitome of black hat. The ethics of Xrumer still puzzle me, I don't go near it any more and I haven't for years.
2- Hrefer
The thing about Hrefer is I've never used it and I have no idea what it is.
3- Scrapebox
Well.
Scrapebox.
What can I say? The thing will scrape anything, sort it, filter it, export the list, import the list, etc... Whoever called it the swiss army knife of SEO hit the bullseye.
This thing is so powerful, it'll scrape your ass if you turn your back on it.
4- GSA SER
This is an excellent tool. It's not as powerful as Xrumer but the price is fair and it's very well coded and has so many updates it gets irritating having to update all the time. The GSA team are pros, they are competent and maintain this tool like a crown jewel.
It's not Xrumer, but you can still blast plenty of shit everywhere. When you get the settings right, you hit the ceiling fan and shit's everywhere instantly. I mean suppose I need 10000 links pointed somewhere in a session, this thing can do it.
5- GSA Captcha breaker
I think the reason why they separated this from SER is because it'd become too expensive as one product.
But this and GSA SER must go together. If you buy SER you gotta buy this.
Complaint: I created tons of my own captcha images to test this. CB would not break them.... It kinda disappointed me. I recall going into photoshop, write 1 2 3 4 5 on a white background, and then I ran it through CB and it didn't break my own test captchas. Dunno if it's improved now, it's been a while since I used this.
6- Mass blaster pro
Well I have no idea what this is, sounds fun though.
7- Custom email verification.
I don't verify emails.
