It's not always about the money. I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years last November because she thought I was working too much - too hard and she was getting mad at me because some nights I would rather work on my IM goals rather than give her enough attention, enough love. At the time, I felt like it was the right call... I wanted to be set for life (!) and enjoy my money.
6 Months later, I finally reached my goals, but something was missing and I couldn't put my fingers on it. I reached out to her, tried to make things right -- Right the wrongs. We saw each other for two months, and she ended up breaking up with me. She didn't have it in her; the pain was still there. I fucking broke her heart for money. I still think about her, I still blame myself for what I did and trust me... It's not a good feeling.
Money can't buy you love. IM success can't buy you love either. If I could trade all my revenue, my sites, my businesses to be with her again, I would. At the end of the day, money is just money. In the long run, pick money over love and you'll regret it later. If you're not going to date a girl you like just because you think she will turn your wallet upside down you're going to regret it later.
