Redirect to get more power?

Nob question here, I have 2 sites 1 is doing ok with my KW and the other is older but not that good on SERPS, if If redirect the second site to my first site, will all the power of the second will be given to the first?

I think it's easier to rank 1 site than 2 as both are about the same.

Just needing some guidance here

If you buy the old site which you want to redirect, check the spam score of it. Also, check the backlink status of the old site. Coz, if the spam score is high and it has more bad backlinks, will affect your site 1 ranking while you redirect to it.

Both are my sites, so no need to carry about too much SPAM I guess, but thanks for the feedback! I already redirected it and just waiting for google to update the serps..

It looks like a great move, OP. But the spam score, as suggested by @Neoterz, is one of the things we check while redirection, so I think he's right in pointing that out, although it's not applicable in your case.

It is good idea. You can see examples on search. For ex; seoturk .com is redirect to new zeo. org. And zeo is at the first page on Turkey seo search.

i simple used whatsmyserp.com/serpcheck.php as this is just a test, i normally use Rank Tracker.

Use serplab, it gives more better result than whatsmyserp. And its a good move if the 2nd domain has no bad history. I did the same and result was really good for me.
