It is like the naive question that you come across. If SEO people can rank websites, why don't they do their own instead of selling their services????...........Who the fuck told you they had no websites?
Take you for instance. You make a lot of money already because you obviously know your stuff, right? So why would you want to pile extra work hours into your week to gain an extra fraction of that? You're obviously capable of making much more using that time for your personal endeavours, right?
So if someone like you has an SEO agency, they can find good workers, get them to do the SEO, and then take a cut. But if you're an affiliate manager, your workload is directly proportional to your money. You can't outsource being an affiliate manager, which is where I'm confused as to why anybody who knows their stuff would do it.
I'm almost becoming convinced that AM's just either don't like to or can't run profitable campaigns. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just can't find a more plausible reason.
