That's actually totally inaccurate. There's no sense in looking for a lot of business when you know your craft - a handful of good paying clients will do.

Regardless of experience, a novice writer can charge much, much more than $.025/word coming straight out of the gate. Well written, targeted content is valuable because it converts. All the OP has to do is find the right audience, which of course is the most difficult part.

That is a phenomenally low rate. I was offering the OP advice from the perspective of a freelance writer, not conjecture or speculation. But thanks for the well wishes
