WPA2 Enterprise

My school provides wifi only to professors and faculty using a WPA2 Enterprise login system.

Assuming I already have someone else's credentials to log in with, how can I stay secure and avoid the tracking of my usage? I encrypt my traffic using tor, so I'm not afraid of the router sniffing my packets, but what should I do in the realm of randomizing mac and other identifiers?

I'm currently using Windows 7 and a wifi adapter with an Atheros AR9271 chipset.

Get a vps sorry that all can offer.

Look up a vpn while there ....

Like hide my ass but use a diffrent one they keep logs.

If you dont want to be caught by the router while using it via wifi, just set your ip addresses manually instead of using the router's dhcp server. If you set them manually the there will be no record of you using the router's wifi.

How would a VPS/VPN help in keeping my mac address (and other identifiers) from being tracked? I'm not worried about IT intercepting my data, but I am afraid that they might notice an extra device under staff credentials and decide to investigate it.

Maybe this isn't a legitimate concern.

I would Google around, but I'm not sure where to start.

if you use a windows vps for example and surf internet with it there will be no data to intercept except your route to your server .

look there is no way to avoid letting them know that there's a extra device , but you can use a tricky way like spoofing another device mac address.

open CMD and type : arp -a
same in linux open terminal and type : arp -a

Dude you should consider what I wrote before. Try it on your own router. Setup ip addresses manually and you will see that the router will show no record of your device.

Change PC name to another device name .
Change Mac to Same Device That You Have Got His Name
if his ip was for example : 192.168.1.10 , make yours : 192.168.1.11
make it look like a bug.
use a VPS so there will be no BIG Data Transferred .

Maybe I'm just oblivious, but my internal ip address doesn't seem like it's mine to choose. I don't have login credentials to the router, and the ip's it assigns are dynamic anyways.
