Hey!

I decided to try to build couple of bigger IG pages and then start selling shout outs on them. For these kind of account, engagement is everything so what would be better way to grow these accounts, by following niche related people or by liking niche related people pictures?

I have searched for hours but I haven't found a great thread I once read that said that liking people is bad cause most people look at their feed and if you like everything and everybody then people are put off by that etc?

Then again, if you follow people they oftentimes follow you back in a way to "return the favor" but they might not be THAT interested in your content.

What is your opinion on these thoughts?

Thanks!

I find a combination of the two being the best way to go for the meantime. Growth is phase one, after that a clean up can occur but againe thats for later. Then i would be more selective on both too .. or use unfollow software

A combination of the two will likely work best. Follow / unfollow works, but if you have accounts following you that don't interact, essentially worthless. Engagement is definitely important.

Can anybody give me a link to that tutorial thread I am talking about in the first post? Can't find it anywhere.

Both is always better, and engaging with the users will definitely help you grow faster. This means legit comments and questions on other people's posts

I've always found a combination of both following and liking yields the best results. :)

Following and liking the same people or different people?

After following/unfollowing for awhile my engagement noticeably dropped. After tracking this I joined an engagement group and started a campaign to like all of my followers new posts. Engagement is back in a normal range and all is good.
