I payed a guy $250 on fiverr for a gig. His gig has been shut down on fiverr. He hasn't completed job either.

Is there anyway I can get my money back ?

Your money is usually safe unless you clicked the "release funds" button.

I ended up going away for a few days with the family. Came back and realised the guy has marked it complete before the job was even done!

It's in the "awaiting my review" section off fiverr.

Totally pissed off about this.

Read I could chargeback on fiverr... however, they will ban my account..wtf!

Contact fiverr customer service and explain the situation. Idk how much that will help but it's worth trying out.

You stop to release money and request for refund to your seller before your order marked completed automatic lay..

If it's been over a month since you sent the money Fiverr will say shit out of luck
I did a chargeback on Fiverr and got banned, then I talked to them and told them they were assholes and they unbanned me but left me with a -$35 balance.
Such is my story lol

it's my story too.. Fiver is not good freelancing platform

The seller can't mark anything complete, he can only deliver the order and wait. It's only the buyer who can mark an order complete and Fiverr automatically, if the buyer doesn't do it in 72 hours after the order was delivered.

Regardless the gig was against the TOS, you didn't get what you pay for. Do what alwaysinvisble suggested above, contact their support, they will sort this out for you. Either way the funds need to be credited back to you, although not to your payment method (e.g. PayPal), but to your Fiverr balance. If the order was marked as complete, you can get a refund only through the support. Don't start a claim on PayPal if you want to continue using your Fiverr account, but you already figured that out.

Just contact support and let them investigate.

It's usually safe, you need contact Fiverr Customer service and explain here: http://support.fiverr.com/
