You do know that the SEO round table is a Google mouthpiece right?
If you do any serious testing you will know that 75% on there is bullshit

It seems Germany was definetly affected. I also have a german website, 2 keywords dissapeard, they were not the main keywords though, just secondary. The rest of the keywords didn't move. Maybe it's just a dance.

I've seen both jumps and drops. Using the same link building methods as well. Mainly targeted the root URL of my websites only, strangely enough.

My site for my second biggest keyword went from 3rd to 13th.

However I had a lot of paid links sent to another page with similar keyword. Changed where the links are going so they all link to one page. Lets see if it makes a difference. Will report back.
