Hey there guys, so I`m in a pickle right now. It`s a long read, but I really wish someone here with experience in drop-shipping could PLEASE give me a hand. I tried to detail exactly what`s going on, so that`s why it`s so long...

I have a drop-shipping website I`ve been working on for a while now, and a while back I did a few Reddit posts with great results, and I was able to attract quite a decent amount of people to my website, and I did get an OK number of sales.

Now, that`s all fine and good, but I don`t wanna rely on shitty posts on Reddit to make my money, I wanna make this a legit business that can be sustained without the need of relying on Reddit.

So, with the cash I made, I bought Scrapebox, but haven`t used it yet.
And with another part of the cash I bought Facebook ads. Now, I had a lot of faith on the Facebook ads, but they are failing hard.

I`m 4 days in, I got 850+ clicks on my ad, but only 6 people actually got the Free Gifts I advertised on Facebook.

After getting these shitty numbers I sat and thought about what the reason may be.

1 a - The 9 Free Gifts aren`t good enough.
1 b - I don`t think that is the case because I`m getting plenty of clicks, and a lot of people actually follow all the way through, until the last step of checkout, but cancel. I have a million cancelled orders on my Woocommerce.

2a - The website doesn`t look good enough.
2b - Dude, I checked some other drop-shipping websites on my niche, and I assure you mine looks way better. Not the best ever, but it does look legit, so it`s not a matter of it looking scammy either. I think...

3a - I`m fucking up on the Facebook ads
3b - This is a possibility, because this was my first time using FB ads.
I was following this guide:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/ho...h-dropshipping-and-you-can-too-part-1.801871/
But this guy is making bank, and I`m eating shit, so maybe my ads aren`t good?

4a - My demographic aren`t the best when it comes to buying online.
4b - I don`t wanna say I`m targeting children, but I`m in the 13 - 30 demographic I believe. Is this something that could be turning those 850 unique IPs into just 6 measly sales? If so, how do I remedy this?

I assume by free gifts you mean a giveaway but you are charging for shipping to cover the cost of the item, shipping and making a profit?

If so, you will get lots falling off at the last step, people are more sensible these days and this method of offering a freebie, just pay postage has been around for a very long time.

You will get some sales but if that is your business model then you won't make it big.

Yes, I`m doing exactly what you said.

I was considering dropping the Shipping thing, and go with another model I have in mind, but, then how would I go about advertising? I guess people come to my websites because of the promise of getting a FREE GIFT, if not for that, how to attract people?

Visitors will always come to your site on the promise of something free, that method of advertising is great and will always work.

It's when they get to the checkout and realise it's not actually free and the shipping cost by far outweighs the benefits of the 'free' item they run a mile.

Sometimes advertising something free and actually making it a really good deal, ie. just charge the actual shipping cost will be more beneficial. It is initially a small loss but can bring lots of repeat business if done right and your customer service is top notch.

As for facebook ads or other advertising methods, somebody more experienced will probably be along to help soon.

I'm in a similar situation... 286 link clicks from my FB ads with 0 sales from it. Numerous checkouts but bail on the last step which is expected but not sure why not even 1 sale. Have you found a remedy to this yet?

Unfortunately I haven`t. I did change up my strategy. I got rid of the shipping fee a couple of days ago, and upped the prices to compensate for that.
Thing is, other strategies I had to drive people into my website aren`t working anymore....

It`s almost like there is no way to please these people.

1 - If you have FREE GIFTS written everywhere, people go to your website in hoards.
But then when they find out they need to pay for shipping these fuckers run for the hills.

2 - Now I changed to FREE SHIPPING. Didn`t do a fucking thing because now I don`t even get the traffic.
So what the hell dude. What do these mother fucking people want? Want me to go suck their cocks? Give them a handjob, and swallow their cum.

Fuck the people. Just fuckin buy from me....
I`m sad.

Can anyone with experience shed some light into the matter?

They probably want you to do all of the above... ;) But if things start getting bad don't be afraid to switch niches. I did a similar thing to what you did and am offering free shipping now. I might try a Free Plus Shipping Method again but this time I've added timers to my products that are on sale to create some urgency to buy and not chicken out of the purchase.

May be you are targeting wrong people or may be the product you offert is not good enough... It can be many factors involved just keep it up do not fall down. You won't never sucess if you do not fail and stand up again.

Hey, hope your journey is doing better than last update! Please share how things are going. I have a drop shipping site as well, and have had my fair share of ups and downs. Not really sure I have any ideas that can help, but I offer encouragement!
