The Ultimate Guide To Ranking A Website Without Building Backlinks

Brilliant guide for on-page SEO. I'm curious what approach you take on your off-page though!

Nice buddy, Thank for sharing information
You're welcome!
Brilliant guide for on-page SEO. I'm curious what approach you take on your off-page though!
At the time I wrote this guide, I only ever shared the articles from the website I was using to test this on social media (I know. Other than that, I didn't really do much else as far as off-page SEO is concerned.

Thanks for sharing, It is really worth. I just started a niche website and facing issue with link building for it. Now I guess I don't need to build link mainly focus on ON Page SEO.

Not necessarily. If you find a low competition keyword, you can get away with just doing on-page and technical SEO. However, there are some keywords that require a little extra boost from a backlink in order for you to rank, especially if you want to speed up the process. For example, I targeted about 5 keywords for a client of mine a couple of months ago. After a month, I noticed that the rankings were stuck on page 3. Rather than wait and see if it moves, I decided to give my client a backlink from one of my sites, and a couple weeks later, the site jumped from page 3 to position 3 (page 1) for those keywords.

If you can, it's just better to focus on every aspect of SEO.

"SEO is like an enormous clock. It only works if all the little cogs (factors) mesh together". (I'll probably use that line in my revised SEO guide :p).

Thanks for the reply.

The niche I started I just targeted few keywords, I have not able to see the ranking of my post but getting organic traffic. So I might need to build some good quality and quantity of backlinks to rank and bank that niche.

Looking for some good backlink source, can you help me in that?
If you have any list and what kind of backlink should I built as it is in health niche.

Sorry, I wouldn't know much about sources for direct link building. The closest I've ever come to covering backlinks is Part 10 of my newest SEO guide, but those tactics are more indirect, and the direct one is more for people who have clients.

That's great, but you can use Rankwyz to build backlinks on autopilot from web 2.0 sites. Scrape expired web 2s that have been dropped and have high page authority and plenty of backlinks pointing to them. Load them up into Rankwyz and the system will add content to them on autopilot. These expired web 2 sites are pretty powerful and can rank a site no. 1 in Google search if done the right way :-)

I almost forgot about Majestic! I just added the Majestic Toolbar to the main post. :D

And yes, since I don't have a BST here (I really only work with local clients in nearby cities and states as I alluded to in this thread), you don't have to worry about me writing any threads promoting my BSTs and bashing my competitors.
Thanks for the great article you have taught me a few things since I have joined the form.

Thanks for the guide @Zwielicht

I have a question while not directly directed to the thread but still it has to do with on page seo.

If I have a low competition keyword and building a MNS should I put the article for it on the homepage or should the homepage be just showing all the articles on the site, and then one of these inner pages be an article for the main keyword and try to rank the inner page.

Which solution is better and easier to rank, homepage with article or inner page.

If the home page has the article inner pages will still be shown in a sidebar for example.

Thanks

Hey rinti!

I'm not too familiar with building micro niche websites since pretty much all of the sites I've ever built and worked on have been brand/small business websites, so I can't really say which strategy would be "easier to rank" a MNS with. However, if it were me building the site, I'd probably put the main article targeting your main keyword on the home page assuming it's not absurdly long. By the sound of it, showing all of the (non-excerpt) articles on the home page could cause some keyword cannibalisation issues, so I'd probably avoid it.

Of course, this is just what I'd do in the situation, but you'd probably be better off getting a second opinion from someone who's familiar with MNS strategies.

So you are saying that 1 good backlink can be enough to cause this massive rise in ranks? How authoritative must the linking site be compared to the target site for it to have such an effect?
