Will this work to hide an affiliate link?

I'm looking to earn some side income promoting affiliate links. In most cases, I'm NOT actually promoting my links on a website or eCommerce site. I am just advertising them where I know there will be a targeted group of people that will purchase the item. Will something like tiny url shorterner do the trick for disguising my aff. link and prevent being banned?

If the affiliate link is already flagged, shortening wont help you....

I was planning on marketing mainly in Yahoo Answers.

For people who are looking for a specific product, I will leave a helpful "review" of the product, and give some insight as to why I recommend it, and leave a shortened aff. link in the source. I'm certain that if I kick out as many of these links as I can, that I will generate some sales. I'm just unsure of whether it is against the Amazon TOS or the Yahoo TOS.

Thoughts?

I do not know about their TOS so I won't address that but I would do this; make a bunch of different shortened links if you are going that route so that YA does not ban your link but would have to ban a ton of them. That would help keep things alive for you should you go that route.

Hopefully someone with TOS knowledge can address that aspect of your idea.

Sure, those are both good. There are a lot of shorteners out there that you can use that would work I am sure.

I think the GSA guys even have a shortener/redirector tool that would make hundreds for you and I bet there are places online where you can find something like that for free.
