Okay,

I always purchase ebooks just for the hell of it. When I purchase an ebook, and it says the book comes with resell rights, can I buy a bunch of these copyright free ebooks and blast them all on amazon for profit?

If you got the correct permission from the owner of the pdf book then yes ,the owner should of gave you a certificate to re sell his/her pdf book

Remeber to get any receipt and url where you get your supply , just encase of a copywrite case....

These are called Master Resell Rights and they get done to death by people who have the same idea as you. Amazon also scans your eBook to see if there is duplicate or copied content from various sources and they will not approve your eBook if they find it. Some people may get away with doing something similar but, Amazon is well aware of methods like this and takes steps to combat it.

If you want to stick with this idea, use the original books as a shell and re-write and write around it to make something original.
