Hi guys!

It's been a while since the last time I visited this forum. I used to read everything and I decided to take actions many times but for some reason I gave up pretty much every time. I guess I was not motivated enough or that I was focusing on too many different things at the same time.

This time I'm just going to work on one site. It's going to be a first for me. I don't know much about websites, but I bought a domain and hosting a few months ago. I've been working on the content for 3 days and I expect to finish today. Since it's my first website, I'm a total noob regarding SEO. I'll try to apply the things I've learned here as well as possible.

I'm definitely doing this and I'm sure this journey thread will help me stay motivated!

This site is in the anime/manga niche. My goal is to make at least $100 a month with it. I found a few affiliate programs for monetization. I'll probably use Amazon as well. Once I reach that goal, I'll start working on another website and repeat the process to earn even more.

I'm using Yoast SEO to make sure the content is optimized.

Here's what I still have to do:

  • Write all the content.
  • Optimize the look of the site.
  • Create Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest pages to get traffic.
  • Create blogs, post articles with links to my website.
  • Create more Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest account to get more followers on my main pages and get more backlinks/traffic.
  • Post my affiliate links.
  • Update the website every once in a while to keep the content fresh.
  • Hopefully earn money.

I'll try to update this thread on a daily basis. Thank you for reading! :)

Good luck with your journey love the thread title :D

Good luck! If you need any help writing SEO content, I can send you a sample of my writing.

Never give up. We're all gonna make it. :)

Thank you for the good luck wishes! It gives me the boost I need to keep on working on the site! :)

Do you also have a budget to work with?
Good Luck!

No, I don't. I'll only invest time for now. I'll invest money if I feel like I'll never reach my goals by doing it the simple way. Not sure on why I should invest money to be honest. Like I said, I'm a noob! :)

I'm definitely doing this! :)

I guess it's time for a first update. I finished writing the content for the main pages. I also worked on the global look of the site and changed the theme and a few things here and there. I might make some changes if I feel like I can make the site look better.
I have to write lots of articles now. I should be done by the end of next week. Then I'll just have to write articles every once in a while to keep the website alive and active.
I've also created a facebook page and a Twitter account. I'll work on the covers and profile pics tomorrow, then I'll make 5 posts a day for a few days before starting promoting the pages.

I'll start working on the articles now! Once again, thanks for the support!

I spent the last couple of weeks writing articles. I still have a couple of pages that I have to finish. I'll work on them tomorrow.

From now on, I'll srape content from instagram accounts that are in my niche and post the pictures on my Facebook page and Twitter account. I have to find a way to scrape from Instagram, then I'll be good to go. I have massplanner to grow my social profiles. I'll just have to work on their looks so I can get as many followers as possible.

I'm also searching for a good plugin to post amazon affiliate links. What I want it to do is just post the image of the item I want to promote and a little button that says "Buy on Amazon". The only plugin that I found and that does that is AzonBox, but for some reason it won't post the images and the button in the center of the page. It posts them on the left, which doesn't look really good. I'm using the default html code that I get from amazon, but it looks kinda bad and I'm sure it's not a good thing to get clicks and conversions. We'll see how I'm gonna fix that. But now, I'm going to focus on the social profiles.

Looks good so far, keep at it and keep us posted! Good Luck!:D

Sure, I can't PM you my Skype ID, but I'll do so when I get a higher post count ;)

Little update:

I created the Facebook page. I gotta create a few fake Facebook profiles to add people and invite them to like my page. Then I'll spam Facebook groups to get more likes. Will do some share 4 share at some point too.

I created a Twitter account and I've started growing it using Mass Planner. I also created 3 dumb profiles to retweet and like everything I post on my main account. I don't use any bot for that.

I created a Pinterest account and I've started growing it as well. I pin 10 to 20 links to my website everyday. I also created 3 dumb accounts that I use to repin the stuff I post on my main account.

Today, I'll write more articles and will create 10 blogs (blogger, wordpress and tumblr) that I'll let age for a week or two before starting to post articles with links to my site.

Lots of work to do! :)
