80K! Better ways to monetize?

Hi everyone!

I reached 80k on instagram in about 3 months(all by hand, no bot or anything in that direction, I get around 3 to 5k likes on average) and I almost have no experience in monetizing other than taking on small shoutouts from little accounts. So, I was wondering, are there better ways to monetize my account because all I've gotten is around 100$ in the 3 months I've been active. My account is also based on a tv show which makes it even harder to monetize.. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Well, at first it was just getting my account out there, meaning using all maximum hashtags related to the show and posting quite a lot. Then, after a few hundred followers, I just kept on doing the follow/unfollow strategy(but I did this only on people that have seen the show, cos otherwise it wouldn't be so effective). As I reached 1000 followers in a few days, I asked my followers what I could do better and I learned from their advice. When I had 10k in a week or 2(keep in mind that in the beginning I wasn't gaining a lot of followers, maybe a few hundred a day, but for a starting account that was really good) I stopped doing the follow/unfollow method, as it took way too much time. I started to focus on what pictures would go viral, and if pictures indeed went viral, I'd end up getting 5k+ likes on them, meaning more followers. Also, I'd re-use them after a few weeks cos the new thousands of followers I got during the few weeks would also cause the pics to go viral(again). All this together caused me to get around 1k followers everyday, but since the show's season is over, I'm not posting as much and my followers have been quite stale. My engagement is now way better though, I think it has doubled itself by just not posting a lot.

The easiest thing you could do is to create a land page on your website, fill it with t-shirts from ali express and dropship them. I guess you could find a lot t-shirts (and other items) with the name of the tv show if it's an ongoing one and it has at least some success.
