How often do we do back linking or any offpage SEO techniques?

Just wanted to seek advices from you about how often do I have to do backlinking or any offpage SEO technique so that my main site which is this: http://www.davaoseo.com will have good links and everything is organic? I hope you got the gist of what I am trying to tell you.

Thanks for your reply. How long can I get results from my link building then? Sometimes i get frustrated because of my excitement that I can rank my site locally.. are there any advices you want to share?
