What verticals/traffic sources are you cloaking/promoting?

I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go!

I've got $220 of Justcloakit credits - that I bought to use with the now-banned Xtreme Ad's TS tutorial. After he was unable/unwilling to back up claims of success and the more experienced members chimed in calling BS, I unfortunately don't have a clear direction to move in.

So now I'm imploring any of you that are currently and successfully cloaking to share some knowledge. If anyone would be so generous as to point a beginner in the right direction I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Side note - please nobody PM me asking to buy my Justcloakit account. They have an approval process for a reason and I'm not about to disrespect it for personal gain. Same with JVs. I can't imagine anyone that has something to offer in a JV situation that wouldn't have access to or couldn't afford their own cloaker.

I have access to a solid network with all of the usual kind of offers that one would cloak:
- Diet/skin/muscle/penis rebills (paying out $35-50)
- Loans - paying out $30-100
- Forex/Binary - paying out $XXX
etc..

Two of those three are pretty strong for a cloaking set up.

I'd ignore the forex as that is just a rip off 99.95 of the time but the others offer some kind of "value".

Ya, the forex stuff does look like a major ripoff.

I've actually heard that, although lots of rebill profits come from people forgetting to cancel, plenty of people actually find value in the products and stay on as customers.

Does anybody have a good rule of thumb for deciding a budget to test a campaign? With a $40 muscle rebill, I imagine thorough testing would easily use $500-1000.

I think it is going to be real tight to find some level of profitability or success with that but I also think it is worth giving it a run. Typically you are looking at over 5 times that to test to see what works and that is the low end of investment capital.

I'm no cloaking genius, or any other kind of genius, but I've got my toes in the water there and have a bit of a feel for that world.

To clarify, the $220 is what I have in Justcloakit credits, enough for 10K clicks.

My thought on it was that I could pick a rebill, get the 3-day trial of Whatrunswhere, and test my way through $500-$1000, hopefully finding at least a few ad combos generating positive ROI, then further optimize and expand them. But I definitely hear you as far as even a 1K budget being just a drop in the bucket.

I'm thinking it might be a better investment to join a private PPV/PPC forum like StackThatMoney/AffPlaybook and spend time learning more about implementation before kerplunking $1K in an arena I know relatively little about.

Although it happens.. It's very unlikely someone who is actually doing good volume will out what they're doing. Usually the ones that do have ulterior motives.. Maybe to sell you on their product or outright screw you.

Nutra is a good vertical. It has been around forever and isn't going anywhere. You can sign up to an affiliate network like Convert2Media or Jumbleberry and get direction from your AMs.. They get paid when you win! Usually they can give you an idea of the placements where you can see affiliate ads and you can browse it manually.. No need to spend money

If you still need more direction, then look into spy tools.. Adplexity is much better than WhatRunsWhere so I'd suggest that. BUT, I find manual browsing to be the best so try that first

Most of the offers in affiliate networks are sketchy and their sole purpose is to screw their customers and generate lots of cash for the promoters.

The majority of these offers will not be allowed as in by the quality ad networks like Google AdWords or Facebook Ads. That's why you cloak.

Nutra sells fake hope to grandmas that they will get skinny by using that pill in a very short time and rebills them hundreds of dollars for junk.

Most of the time rebill terms are hidden on the page and users are duped into accepting those terms and subscribing by affiliate using deceptive landing pages like shape.com and womenhealthmag etc...

Cloaking is a simple concept but the problem is that the implementation is difficult - you need multiple ad accounts, test budget often thousands of dollars if you are inexperienced, insider news about offers and landing pages moreover good relationship with your affiliate networks.

Simply check on a spy tool. I recommend AdPlexity Native - you'll be able to find all cloaked landing pages.

Nearly everyone claims that they are running whitehat but very few actually make money with whitehat.

If there is money in whitehat, why don't we see whitehat campaigns in the spy tools like AdPlexity? So many of these so-called affiliates claim that they run whitehat and make thousands of dollars without offering any proof or method.

To answer your question, here are the verticals which you can promote:

• Sweepstakes (PINs and CC submits)
• Mobile Content Billing offers (Pin submits)
• Email submit offers
• Adult dating on traffic sources which do not allow adult, for example, facebook
• Forex
• Gambling
• High-Interest Payday and mortgage offers
• Insurance
• Solar
• Antivirus/App installs
• Whatsapp mobile content offers
• Game hacks
• Content locking

Most of these affiliate operations are run from untouchable GEOs in Asia like Thailand, most shady affiliates are based out of Bangkok.

And most of them claim that they are whitehat affiliate to appear politically correct in the discussions and kill the surfacing competition.

Even if someone does drugs, they'll not tell the name of their dealer - it's same in affiliate marketing, even if someone is cloaking and making cash, they will not say "I cloak" or "Me Cloaks".

They will claim that they are running most compliant operation. It's up to you to believe them. I call it BS.

I've stopped listening to everyone, even experienced members post same BS.

Just open the spy tool and figure out yourself - what do you see? whitehat or blackhat? cloaked or legit?

Personal Experience:
Copied landing page from spy tools and submited them to ad network. Got disapproved 40 times and after that I got banned from the ad network. So, what should I do? Quit? or cloak?
