Hey, I've been ranking YouTube videos for a while and had some questions.

1. Is Vagex still a good place for high retention views? If not, what service/site do you recommend I buy them from?

2. I used to always just send a couple thousand backlinks to my videos to help them rank. Is this still effective for you guys? I'm trying to get a good grasp on what type of backlinks work best for videos.

Thanks guys :)

1. Vagex hasn't been good for a long time. I haven't bought views in a while, but if you're going that route don't go for the cheapest service in the marketplace.

2. I never spammed backlinks, could be worth testing though!

I'm going to look into buying some high retention views from people on this forum. Also, I've heard that blasting blog comments works really well to rank videos. I have to test it out some more.

What do u mean blasting blog comments?

https://www.authentichits.com/buy-youtube-views.html Best Retention based views you can get. Im seeing between 85-95% retention on every video plus they pay out more than they say. (Example I got 2,500 for 6$ and ended up gaining around 8,000 views)

Did those views help you rank for your keyword? If yes then it's worth it. If not then you are being scammed off because I know sites where you get around 3k-4k HR views(100% retention) for $1. But they have not helped me rank.

I wouldn't say that make it pure SEO because this is a blackhatworld forum. I have ranked videos for high volume for low competition keywords for a long time after it get banned. Anyway, the first thing you should do is ON-page SEO, the second thing is bookmarked it. Wait, what is your goal to rank on youtube or google? Google is more profitable than youtube though.

I personally don't know completely how ranking with the algorithm works, but with the views its showing in VidIQ that Im ranking higher in searches for specific tags. Im Giving Rap8857 I think his name is on here a chance and testing out his HR views (0.40$ per 1,000) I will let you know If I see a difference in how each video ranks.

1. No it's not there are better sites now.

2. So you are talking aboout ranking your videos on youtube or google? On google yes of course it still does the job. It's not that hard. The hard thing is to rank for high comp keywords in the actual youtube search.

Appreciate it. I'm going to do some tests with blog comments to some of my videos.

Also, from my experience...for YouTube videos social signals work REALLY well! Find a service that will send out Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus shares to your video.
