How to build massive pinterest followers?

Hi,
I have been trying to build pinterest followers by repin and following people.
But I think it's not working.

Niche: Fitness

Can anyone provide some tips?

follow back ration was always 20% for me. so if i followed 100 users, 20 of them would follow back.
i never had good results with repining or commenting, there are just little "addons"
i always prefer manual following, never use bots for pinterest followings. so that's why i always follow very active users. it takes time but i think it's worth.
if someone knows better strategy, would like to know more about it.

From where exactly do you find active users on your niche? my follow back ratio is very low..

i have apparel and i got 30 percent but thats when i stopped on 1200 followers and now im gonna continue after 6 months

One method to find active users.

- Click on a pin and scroll down until you see "See all by __ people"
- click on that
- POW you have a list of users who was last active on the pin.

You can follow and like a few of their pins to increase the odds of getting a follow back.
