hi

I have had my MAC address blocked by a website which I want to get around, its Flippa.

I am in uk on birgin broadband and use a Mac.

Anyone know how to change a MAC address so I get past there blocking?

Thanka

Have a read at this link it will show you how to do that : http://www.howtogeek.com/220462/how-to-find-and-change-your-mac-address-on-os-x/

so if I use a different computer it will have a different MAC address? Is that right?

You need to change your IP address, not MAC address. Get a proxy and access Flippa from that proxy.

Yes, each computer has a different MAC address.

If your computer has a wireless connection and a ethernet connection, the MAC address for each will also be different.

Just to confirm that YOUR IP is blocked and not your MAC address, no-one is blocking MAC :) Get a proxy or VPN.

Yes right if you use a different system it will have a different MAC address.

I have a mac computer thats what I use.. works like a charm.. search on online ;-)

Used HMA and still was blocked by Flippa hence I have been told its the MAC address thats now blocked or flagged up

looking ta wifispoof- does this also change IP Address or would I need a VPN as well like HMS to run along side??

Whoever told you that has no fucking idea of what he is talking about. NO website can see your MAC address unless you explicitly authorize it to do so via a plugin/extension, desktop app, etc... Maybe you didn't use a fully anonymous proxy or you are being tracked by other browser fingerprints and/or cookies. Delete your entire cache and cookies (including flash cookies - just use CCleaner to do a complete cleanup), put a private (L3 level) proxy in use and open Flippa in an incognito window.

All I can say is I used HMA as a VPN and still got banned again. Hence I was advised around MAC address...

Good advice here.

Offtopic, if you are trying to connect to an ISP that is unhappy with you, like Comcast Xfinity, you may have to change your MAC address to do it. OSX makes it easy and that link in the second post shows how.

But yeah, if you're blocked by a site, you need to think about a lot more than your MAC. Think about your http://wiki.ubotstudio.com/wiki/Set_User_Agent, your IP, and your http://www.procato.com/my+headers/. You probably need a better automation tool if you're getting blocked regularly, or you need to build your own.

Confused.com!!

so i have done..

wifispoof- changes my mac address everytime i log on
hidemyass- Changes IP when i log on
cc cleaner to clear cookies etc..

Do you think it wii be ok now to sign up?
