I want to install a new website on a subdomain. With DirectAdmin I'm able to install WordPress on the subdomain. This is the easiest for me, but is it as good as enabling multisites? Will my site get slower if I choose to install WordPress on it? Thanks a lot in advance :)

Wordpress isn't the fastest option. Also, whatever is it that you do, I don't advise putting a different website on a subdomain. Would instead put it on a different domain.

Thanks for your response!
Okay, but it's about the same subject (for example: dolphins is the main site, the subdomain will be about orca's). The domain has some authority, wouldn't the site about 'orca's' score higher?

You can do that. But why not make the entire website Wordpress then and use the same template for your main domain as your subdomain. Adding Wordpress to a subdomain while the main domain is something else just doesn't sound right.

i think it's Ok.. but my suggestion, don't install new WP.. build wordpres multisite.
you need to know about WP multisite, build something like wikia.
slow or not, depending your server.. try use VPS.. install nginx, mariadb or mysql and hhvm or php7..

The main site is WordPress as well, but enabling multisites seemed pretty hard. Thanks again for your response, I'll use multisites :)
