Adwords click off

A client of mine wants to drain the budget of his competitor's Adwords campaign by clicking the ads. I wonder whether there is a relevant service.

I know it looks like a hell of an unfair stuff, but the client of mine has reasonable reasons.

There are no "reasonable reasons" to sabotage a competitor instead of fucking thinking how to do your job better and provide better quality to the market. Tell your client he/she's an asshole and leave it like this.

On-topic: you can't game adwords like that anymore. There is no financial gain from this except for revenge or pure trolling, therefore people that know IM don't invest time into testing how to deplete another's Adwords account. Not profitable to do.

It can be done with several thousand dollars, but never saw a service like that.

If he will invest the time, money and effort necessary for this in his own business be sure that it will make it more profitable and he will gain more than burn his completiors budget.

For everyone concerned, the competitor of my client does very bad things, including pulling the strings in local law enforcement which makes things more complicated.

Personally, I dislike the idea of such extreme measures as "clicking off" the adwords, stealing content, selling competitors off to law enforcement or tax authorities, etc. I do prefer the fair play and believe in the ultimate wisdom of the market, which rewards the worthy and punishes those who are otherwise.

Yet, war can be unfair, but my actions would be purely defensive. Anyway, I thank everyone for your input!

If you know anything about Adwords you'll know that by doing what you plan you would only be improving your competitor's click through rate and therefore his quality score right? People have asked this before, and regardless of the morals involved its a terrible idea. If you want to stick it to somebody in Adwords, clicking their ad's only helps them IN THE LONG RUN. Its not an effective strategy.

If you really want to hit somebody in the wallet you compete against them on their best keywords using a highly targeted exact match campaign, with highly relevant landing pages for each ad group, better ad's, and a flexible budget. Adwords is a grind.

This has nothing to do with SEO. This thread doesn't even belong here. Your client is also a #$!#%. If someone drained my ad money on purpose I will be pissed as hell. No reason to sabotage other people, beat them by working harder and smarter.

Surely with a name ITGuild should mean you'd know how to do it. Although unethical it can be done with a simple bot
However it is something i wouldn't do myself but it does go on and is sadly easy and inexpensive nowadays.
