Hi!
I would advise
against this, especially with IG's latest update(s) to their algorithms and efforts to deter spam, bots, and ads.
Accounts employing such methods only do so knowing their "dummy" accounts used to mass tag and spam will be terminated sooner rather than later.
I've personally witnessed an account with over
180K+ followers (fashion niche) get
deleted for using
mass tags and
bots which left spam comments on their competitors' posts.
*Lastly (and this is based solely on my own observation), I've made the following general
conclusions which you might find useful:
- Brand new IG accounts are extremely vulnerable to potential bans for even the slightest breach of the community guidelines (e.g. a previous thread mentioned an account getting perma banned simply for generating 800 followers within the first 24 hours of the account's creation).
- Hence, older accounts (1-2+ years old) have more "clout" within the IG universe and can get away with a bit more.
Ex. I had a dummy account I used to follow, like, and comment on posts in a similar niche. After 4-5 hours resulting in ~100 likes and ~30 comments made on accounts under the "likeforlike" hashtag, I got hit with the "Action Blocked" message and could not do the above for 24 hours.
- If you get hit with the "Action Blocked" restriction for commenting, you will also be unable to leave captions under your OWN posts. Yeah, I know.
Best of luck!
