Its a normal facebook facebook URL post share that has been edited to make it look like a image share.

It looks like an JPG preview link, but it is not, usually full image links when it showed on news feed (only on desktop looks like full image) and when your are on smartphone it looks as normal link, but these links on notes looks even on smartphones as original photo.

Before new version of notes rolled out , on older version you could do it easy only with html codes, making an hyperlinked image to an outside url.
I have tried with new version, can`t get any way to implement html codes as on older version, i believe that some accounts still have access to older version on notes and can implement it via html codes same as before.
Anyway subscribed and waiting if someone know how to do it.

I have found an old note on my fb that has been created on older version of notes, it was just a text, i have edited it and it actually opened on older version editor
I`ve inserted simple ahref with image hyperlink and it created image with external link just as the screenshot OP provided..
I would post a link to the note but as this fb is one of my oldest fb accounts i wouldn`t be good to paste it on public.

Yeah. Now we know 1 method. Hope someone known other method for new notes.

you need to have an page that has old note on it, then just edit it add an achor tag <a href=""> </a> but it's hard to find these kind of accounts and sometimes when you try it with some accounts it will say an error even though you have an old note.

Yeah. You are right. I found one of my page created in 2013 and have notes already. Just tried to edit to embed html code and works fine.
@xbryan Can you share method to bypass facebook linkshim proxy?

fb was update new notes.. so far for now cannot put images link anymore to fb new notes! only work for old notes
