That's just silly, whenever a company re-brands a product, they are going to change the Anchor Text. If something was called "Mike's Donuts" and now they are calling it "Yummy Donuts". Why in the world would google or anyone else penalize a company for re-branding a product. I owned a retail store and I sold pet food, I couldn't tell you how many times I had to change anchor tags for all the times these companies kept re-branding their products. One week it's "Potato Free Grain Free Dog Food" next week it's "Pea Protein with Limited Ingredients Dog Food" - That's just normal flow of business.
