So I just checked my share-a-sale account a few minutes ago and found out that I earned some commission from one network. It earned me some bucks, not much but this is my first affiliate commission so it's kinda important to me.

You may be wondering, "if you made a sale, why are you full of regrets?"

The answer is simple. I sold that website last month thinking that it won't make me money. Basically, what I did was set it up, put a blog post once a week with my affiliate links, and some SEO (which my friend did for free).

If only I checked my share-a-sale account before I sold the site, I should have the site by now and still earning. Now I'll make sure that I won't do the same mistake again.

Here's the screenshot of my earnings.

Why don't you make an attempt to buy back the site? Contact the buyer and offer up a bit more then he paid, just don't mention the real reason

That's a bummer. Remember to never give up if you want something man. Go start a new site or try to buy it back.

I already sent an email to the buyer and offered 50% more than the price he bought it for. I'm gonna update the thread once he replies.

Thank you. At least I know which works for me. With what I'm learning from BHW, I know I can make more than that.

At least for once someone sold a site, which actually makes money. :)

The good thing that you know the recipe, so you can replicate it.

I'm not sure if that's counted because I didn't know that it was earning. :D Good thing I'm in a community with people who actually care and is ready to help, because here in my country, people are not that open-minded with earning money online.

Just keep at it, if I counted how many times i failed I would have quit long ago. You drill enough holes you'll eventually find oil.

No need to buy the site just replicate the process and this time make it even better since you know it's working. I don't know how much you earned from the sale but I think you can do it for less if you make another site just like that one.

Just out of curiousity, how many times did you actually fail before you earned your first dollar?

I guess you're right. I can just invest it to make the process faster like hiring someone to write blog posts, etc.

I totally agree with simply re-doing your process again. First, its good experience and shows you can replicate success... which is an important step forward. And second, its potentially far cheaper. Get innovative my friend. Have you tried using Voice-to-Text for generating content quickly? You can pop out a 500 word document while you are on the toilet.

Now that you mention it, I guess I'll install dragon mobile assistant and swype keyboard to my phone to make it easier.

Exactly, you can knock out 2-3 articles daily no problem.

I think the bigger regret is thinking that earning a little over $20 is worthy of a thread.

...

Kidding. You sold the site. Move on. At least you aren't Ronald Wayne, who sold his 10% stake in Apple for $800. That's over $50 billion today.

Lol. :D It's my first earning through an affiliate network. (And I posted it on the lounge section.:D:D:D)

Is Ronald Wayne still alive today? If he is, it's like being tortured to death. Lol.

You can do another site like that and spend money got from old site to make it even better. Lot better than spending more than u got from old site sale to buy it back

Btw anyone know a good android speech to text app ?
