How does it all work and how many followers do you need? I know it's not that simple, but.... These kids are making crazy amounts of cash using IG.
You're asking the wrong questions. It's true that the amount of followers they have is big, but it's irrelevant to how much they make to be honest. There are people with way less/more followers than them making a lot less money. If you have a good idea/plan, you should try and execute it as sooner as possible. You can be making a lot of money too with not so many followers.
well i think you can sell or blog using your instagramI have an account in the cars niche with 21k followers and engagement of 1100 likes per photo average, yet i haven't made anything lol.. I just dont know how to start the ball rolling.
Its definitely not about how many followers you have. Its more about creativity and execution. If you have laser targeted followers, you can make decent paper with less than 100k. I know a guy with about 100k and he did 1.2m sales in 2015
If you are just growing your accounts it is NOT a waste of time. you could sell your car niche account right now for about $500 im guessing. i'd have to take a look at it for an exact estimate. and you probably put what, $0 into it? that's a $500 profit right there. Growing accounts is not a waste if you grow them right or grow them to sell.If you are saying you don't have a plan yet to monetize and are just growing your accounts, you are just wasting your time.
When you decide what kind of account you are starting, you should already have an idea of what type of product or service you are going sell/promote. This is business 101. You may adjust later on, but never start something without a roadmap with how it will make money. It's so pointless and a waste of time unless you are just doing it for fun.
Don't just start a "nature" account without a plan on how to monitize it. I'm serious here, that is is really amateurish business sense.
I've sold about $1,000 in T-shirts in about 2 months. it's all about how you market it and what you sell.Selling what? Seriously, what sells on Instagram... phone accessories, weight loss, ?

I started selling the t-shirts at 20k followers and had many orders in the first 2-3 weeks. It's really all about the niche. if you target your niche with a nice looking t-shirt related to the niche it'll probably sell. (note i print the T-shirts by myself, for free, at school) but you can always find someone who prints them cheap
They work hard and know what they're doing, just like all successful people in all industries.

1100 likes is pretty low engagement. Is it the same for other accounts within your niche having the similar followers?I have an account in the cars niche with 21k followers and engagement of 1100 likes per photo average, yet i haven't made anything lol..
