[Method] How To Find Hundreds of Images To Post On IG In A Few Hours

There are many threads on Followliker settings, VPS recommendations, and IG journeys of all sorts to tell you everything you need to know to succeed on Instagram. But hardly any on the most fundamental requirement of succeeding on Instagram: "Where do I get images to post?"

Here's how to find hundreds, even thousands, of images to post on your Instagram pages in just a few hours:

1. Google "[niche] imgur album" or "[niche] imgur compilation"
2. Scrape any interesting Imgur albums using ronfitzgerald . com / imgdl
3. Find and delete duplicates using hardcoded . net / dupeguru
4. Manually delete the images you don't want (watermarked, low-res, irrelevant, etc.)
5. Scale the images to fit into 1080x1080 using imageresizer . codeplex . com
6. Upload images to Instagram.
7. ???
8. Profit!

All the tools listed above are free (as of time of this post) and have numerous alternatives if you Google "Imgur scraper", "duplicate file finder", and "image resizer", respectively. So, grab your hands on what's simplest for you.

Using this method, I've collected roughly 8,000 images, I think, in a single weekend. Results will vary depending on the albums you can find in your niche and how strict/specific you are with your content. But you can get a month to a year's worth of images with a single day's work.

So, if this is what's stopping you from stepping into IG, time to find another excuse.

Aside from Imgur, I think you can also scrape Pinterest and Tumblr as a source for Instagram photos. Though you may need separate scrapers for each platform.

I cannot comment on Pinterest.

Tumblr is a good choice, but not recommended. In my experience, it suffers from a number of issues.

Scraping tools are harder to find. And the best one I found that's easy to use has an issue with downloading the same image in 2 different sizes. These can't be picked up by duplicate file finders (different MD5/CRC tags). They have to be weeded out manually over hundreds of images.

You'll find more irrelevant posts on Tumblr. You'll get GIFs and Instagram doesn't accept GIFs. There will be a bunch of captioned/personal posts that will be useless. You'll find many Tumblrs with too few pages to really build an account off of.

I can handle Tumblr because sorting out thousands of images quickly is part of my day job and I've got the software tools for it (which are not cheap). I think it'd be too much work for most people.

Photo Mechanic. Sports photographers and journalists use it to select photos under very, very short deadlines.

It costs $150 but definitely pays for itself in the amount of time you save.

If you can shut off your brain and pick out images purely out on instinct/gut reaction of what looks good, you'll be able to burn through anywhere from 20-100 images a minute to pick the keepers. So, ~10,000 images would take about 2-9 hours.

my niche is clothing specificaly designer jackets (brands like "stone island", "Moncler", CP Company" etc) and i dont seem to find any like that. i have to look for individual images on google. maybe i'm doing something wrong with your method
