Is It Hypocrisy to Use AdBlock If You Run AdSense?

I'm using third-party advertising platforms like Google AdSense to monetize some of my websites. Moreover, I also use AdBlock to, well, block advertisements from ad-clad websites that lag my shitty laptop. Is it hypocrisy that I run AdSense and at the same time use the one that "kills" it?

If a webmaster has added so many advertisements to their website that it slows down the site significantly or obstructs my view of the site, then I'm going to block the ads.

I don't have AdSense sites, but I do use AdBlock. In my opinion, one person (you) ceasing to use AdBlock is not going to fix the issue that website owners have, so who cares

It may be hypocrisy by the end of the day if you take its literal definition, but nobody can force anyone to use a shitty site with a buttload of obstructively non-optimized advertisements.

Also it removes yourself from ad stat-tracking.. Always be smart and stay up to date as AdBlock use is not hypotricical, but rather an enhanced secretly technique.

I don't block ads so cannot comment upon how convenient it is after blocking ads. But I don't mind seeing ads as I have at times stumbled upon unique things through these ads or get to know what is the latest in the market.

To put it in perspective with an example, I stumbled upon a PBN hosting service through the Google ads on their launch day and though I didn't buy it I found their method of hosting to be very unique. Few points that I can implement myself in my business.

So, it depends.

I block ads on sites that have an annoying amount of ads or popups. I deblock websites if i like them and want to give them a chance to serve ads.

Honestly though, who gives a shit if you are served ad's or not? You're not going to make someone rich unless you're buying what's on every ad. Every time.

One time when I was implementing ads on my website and was confused why ads weren't showing,then I remembered that the Adblock plus was turned on for years and I was taking the ad free internet for granted,since then I whitelisted my favorite sites which are actually providing valuable content

I've been a webmaster for five or so years and never have I ever clicked on my own ads. Doubtful that this is such a big problem for other webmasters.

As far as AdBlock is concerned, I don't use it. I think that if you visit a website, then the owner of that website has the right to try to make money from your visit. The ads on most sites that I visit, don't bother me at all. In fact, I've even found some useful things by clicking on ads myself.

From the websites I visit, the only ones with annoying ads are the ones where I watch movies and tv series illegally. I guess pirating has its downside.

I don't use AdBlock at all. I do, however, block javascript and images by default. Then as needed, I whitelist sites for javascript, images or both. This way, the sites that I find helpful continue showing me ads while the rest don't. It's a pain for the first week or two but after that, you would've whitelisted the bulk of the sites that you use.
