rofl you all think that our government would shoot down the missiles just like how 9/11 was done by the taliban... rofl get your heads out your ass..

9/11 was a inside job, and the US wants a world war 3, war makes money... they wouldn't shoot down the missiles guaranteed ;)

i dont think we'll be nuked, maybe we will... who knows... just have your egg's in the right basket, and you'll be fine.

Grizzy you don't believe in all that stuff, do you work for the government, no just kidding everyone believes in what they believe good stuff lots of topics this could be a forum on its own, and lance561 he must believe in the Illuminiti, I don't know about that I just like to shake things up, and it works better then planed moohahah!

Yeah they did say that. Also...

"The North Korean government issued a warning to mariners to avoid an area in the Sea of Japan at certain times between June 24 and July 9 because of a "military firing exercise," according to a U.S. military communication about the warning provided to CNN."

Japan is reporting N. Korea intends on firing a missile at Hawaii on July 4.

Though on the same article on CNN the US denies any information to that extent.

When asked why such a vast time frame....kim jong il replied...We are lighting the wick (6 mile long shoe string soaked in pig fat) June 24th and really have no idea how long it will have to burn before it reaches the missile. BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID.

The US profited off wars that they funded but DID NOT FIGHT IN, such as wars in the middle east where they supplied weapons to both sides and World War I before they entered. The nations who fought the whole time in WWI were economically destroyed, as any nation who fights a large war is. The US got in extremely late and saw almost no action so we were fine and profited heavily. If the US fights in a war where it is one of the main aggressors its will be DRAINED miserably, and its already in a horrible position. I hate all these conspiracy theorists who read bullshit from stupid sites and take it as the truth. They should really get their heads out of their asses ;) Wars = huge expenses. You're making your own weapons, ammo, bombs, strategies, your soldiers are dying, and if we fight NK it will be with other large nations who wont need as much funding as smaller middle eastern nations did. Even if we sell weapons, our expenses will greatly outnumber our profits. Plus, of course, there is the chance of losing. There are plenty of other ways to make an actual profit, WW3 not being one of them.

Well put great research everyone has to admit besides people who died this is a huge profitble topic.

What research exactly? The US profited from the world wars because we came in late and fought very little, while arming our allies. Our territory was not even attacked. If WW3 happens we will be fighting the whole time, and most likely be the main aggressors. Our territory is also threatened by North Korea. Look what happened to all the countries who fought like we would in WW3 in WW1 and WW2 - their economies were destroyed. Ours will be too if we fight a WW3, and our government knows that. Selling arms is profitable but its nothing when you have to spend billions arming your troops, creating weaponry, and protecting your nation on a massive scale.

For those that are looking to vacation there, the prices on that weekend will probably be very cheap.

Excellent! I will buy some tickets. Just hope I don't hear "Daddy, what's big rocket coming for us?"

this is borderline politico talk.....it just causes troll taunting and flame wars

can we close this?

Don't get me wrong don't want missle to be shot at Hawaii, or any were else, but for the US they need to make sure it isn't pearl harbor again, it did more damage to Japan then the US but it was nasty.

I'm afraid that eventually NK(which is to say its divine monarch) is going to realize it can't really threaten anyone by conventional means and just say it's going to put a missile with weaponized plutonium into the upper atmosphere unless we give them anything they want!

Yes we can take them out! We can take anyone in the world out since we have the only stealth, first strike ability, (in today's world, if you can't see the first strike coming its already too late, their million man army will have to walk to America) but probably lose a lot of S Koreans since Seoul is within artillery range.

Modern day Roman Empire... Like all empires they eventually fall. In this case it's economically.

Well I'm thinking there's a good niche here something along the lines of
portable nuclear fallout shelters, win 10 years supply of tinned food or an exchange site where people could go and stay in eachothers shelters, mabee some timeshare I mean there's got to be an abundance of unused shelters left
over from the 50's that someone could get the monopoly on to sell on ebay.

can we just nuke these fucks off the face of the planet already? They're really getting on my nerves!

What a completely ignorant statement. You are saying that the US should obliterate an entire nation full of innocent people, because they are getting on your nerves?

edit: Ok, I saw some of your other posts, and you know something about wars and what not, but come on, the solution is to kill them all?

USS New Orleans

'...Don't underestimate the foolishness of North Korea.

They are already shipping weapons to Myanmar, (Burma) which is next door to me here in Thailand.

We currently have 5,700 US Marines in Phuket, Thailand, supposedly on R&R from USS New Orleans, USS Boxer, USS Comstock, USS Gridley and the USS Thatch guided missile destroyer. 10% are female officers.

As a high-tech amphibious assault ship, the USS New Orleans does not have a lot of portholes. A 208-metre stealth ship, it is built to fight.

The ship carries ''two high rate-of-fire Mk 46 Mod 1 automated 30mm Close-in Gun System mounts. The Mk 46 provides long-range lethality while engaging small, high-speed, surface targets.''

The British Royal Navy were here a week or two before.

If the leaders of Burma and North Korea are reading this, I hope they understand that resistance is useless. Give up now!

Anyone who knows Thailand and especially Patong Beach, Phuket, with the streets lined with Thai hookers and LadyBoys, will appreciate the humour in these headlines from a local newspaper:

Patong Beach Swells With Injection Of American Seamen

'...UPDATE:

A North Korean ship under scrutiny for more than a week by the U.S. Navy has changed course and was heading back the way it came, U.S. officials said as Pyongyang warned Wednesday it will take military action if anyone attempts to search its vessels.

The Kang Nam 1 -- originally believed bound for Myanmar with suspicious cargo on board, possibly illicit weapons -- turned around and headed back north on Sunday, two U.S. officials said on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence.

The U.S. officials, speaking in Washington on Tuesday, said they do not know where the ship is going. But it was some 250 miles (400 kilometers) south of Hong Kong on Tuesday and was heading north, one official said.

The North Korean ship is the first vessel monitored under U.N. sanctions aimed at punishing the regime for conducting an underground nuclear test in May.

The new resolution seeks to clamp down on North Korea's trading of banned arms and weapons-related material by requiring U.N. member states to request inspections of ships suspected of carrying prohibited cargo.

The communist nation has said it would consider interception of its ships a declaration of war. On Wednesday, North Korea's main Rodong Sinmun newspaper renewed the warning.

"Touching our ships constitutes a grave military provocation against our country," the paper said in commentary carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. "These acts will be followed immediately by self-defensive military countermeasures."

The North's warning did not specifically mention the Kang Nam 1, which the two U.S. officials said has been moving very slowly in recent days in a possible sign it is trying to conserve fuel. The resolution prohibits U.N. members from providing fuel to ships suspected of carrying banned items.

The officials said they did not know what the ship's turnaround means, nor what prompted it.

Myanmar's authorities had informed the North Korean ambassador that the U.N. member nation would not allow the Kang Nam to dock if it was carrying weapons or other banned materials, a Radio Free Asia report said.

A U.S. delegation headed by envoy Philip Goldberg, meanwhile, headed Wednesday for Beijing to discuss the U.N. sanctions, the State Department said. Goldberg, a former ambassador, is in charge of coordinating the sanctions' implementation.

China's cooperation in enforcing the sanctions against neighboring North Korea, which counts Beijing as its main ally, is seen as crucial to encouraging the North back to nuclear disarmament talks the regime abandoned in April.

Pyongyang also threatened in April to launch a long-range missile. A no-sail zone remains in effect off North Korea's east coast through July 10. An announcement cited "military drills" but there were concerns the defiant nation might test-fire short- or medium-range missiles, or even a long-range missile, in further violation of Security Council resolutions.

However, there was no sign of an imminent missile launch Wednesday, an official at South Korea's Joint Chief of Staff said Wednesday. He asked not to be named, citing agency policy.

In Washington, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed financial sanctions on Hong Kong Electronics, a company located in Kish Island, Iran, accused of involvement in North Korea's missile proliferation network.

That means any bank accounts or other financial assets found in the U.S. belonging to the company must be frozen. Americans also are prohibited from doing business with the firm.

Meanwhile, the North's regime has sought to whip up anti-American sentiment among its hunger-stricken people with a series of state-organized rallies. KCNA said Wednesday the latest anti-U.S. demonstrations were held through Tuesday in three provinces where participants condemned the U.N. resolution and what the regime calls a U.S. plot to invade the country.

Such rallies have been held since June 25, the anniversary of the 1950 outbreak of the Korean War where the U.S. fought alongside South Korea against invading troops from North Korea. The war ended in 1953 in a truce, not a peace treaty, leaving the two Koreas still technically at war.
