BOA Accept Incoming transfer With Mismatched names?

Hello I sold my business and he want to do a bank transfer, Does the name I give him have to match my bank account name? Or will the transfer get denied or rejected or whatever?

i have been using Bank of America for a while and not had any problems with mismatched names doing transfers from Paypal to BoA. i dont know why they would care on matching names with bank wire / bank transfers seeing how they dont have to match from Paypal Ach transfers but im not sure on that though.

I spoke on chat with a employee they said it would get declined and returned to the sender

im a little confused with what your asking are you trying to do a bank wire transfer? those will go through no matter where there coming from or who sending you the funds.

Ive never had any issues with BoA and paypal transfer with mismatched names.

You should wait more than 15 minutes for a reply on a forum.....

Since this is in the ebay section, if you are talking about paypal, BOA will accept deposits from paypal with mismatched names

Why dont you just ask at the bank
'get the guy in charge of it

He never said anything about PayPal, only about wiring.


Why not just give the person you sold your business to the correct name on the account??
