Yeah, so i am fairly sure that i already know the answer to this before i ask it, and i'll bet the answer is:
"If it smells like spam.... if it looks like spam.... if it can be even remotely considered spam... then it's most definitely Something Posing As Meat" and therefore, illegal.
but, then why do i get 500 of these a day in my email? how are they getting away with it?
I digress.... TO THE POINT:
I purchased 6 domains in the last week, and made the mistake of using an actual email address, albeit one that i largely use for catching spam, but, some legit email comes there, so i hate having my inbox flooded with junk. I use that email to sign up for websites which may in turn sell my info, therefore, some useful info comes there, and it's a pain in the butt sifting through everything. I had to switch to an "only spam" email address, because, about 500 different companies scraped the WHOIS databases, got my email and are offering me every service under the sun now across 2 different email addresses, because several of the first ones are still sending spam to the first address and then sold the email to god knows how many others....
sooooo.... my point isn't how to get rid of them, or how to get the list, I have that covered... after about 45 minutes of research, i figured that out and i have a list of nearly 4 million emails from freshly registered domains over the last 30 days. (31 now)
My question is, how do i do what they are doing, and blast out potentially millions of emails...or even 500-1000-5000 a day of the most likely ones (after filtering out those with chinese characters, and some that look like obvious spam domains) without getting arrested or fined billions of dollars or something ridiculous. Obviously, the info is public domain, it's on a national registry, and it is technically put there for people to be able to contact them about 1 of the 4 tabs you have to fill out when registering... but since they didn't opt in to my email, it, in my limited knowledge of the spam act, is illegal to send them anything offering services for say, logo design, keyword optimization, blah blah....
or, more aptly put, is there anyone here who i can pay to send them out? There would be too much of a learning curve for me to do it, and sometimes it's just better to pay someone who does it already. win/win
with that said, mailchimp has already banned me, and i haven't even signed up yet! (not literally, but you get the point).
thoughts, advice, etc??? I am in the process of putting my site(s) together and, would love to be able to reach 4 million spam boxes at once and maybe get 1% of them to throw money at me.
Honestly, i don't think it's infeasible, if only for the reason that i literally have 39 spam emails in my box since 10am this morning, and it's 4pm now... so, it's possible, and i doubt they are getting in trouble for it any time soon.
p.s. i don't necessarily think that going to the spam box is a bad thing, most browsers / email services / etc have such strict guidelines about what is or isn't spam, that, the spam folder basically acts like what an inbox used to be about 15 years ago. you get premium emails in the "inbox" and then you get all of your IMPORTANT emails, jump mail, scam emails, spam emails, porn emails, MLM emails, etc in your junk folder... in other words, people STILL look at their junk folders nearly as often as their inbox, because a lot of important emails go there.
The second part of my journey would have to be figuring out how NOT to trigger spam filters in my emails anyway, to keep from getting banned with whoever i'm sending through
