When you get expired tumblr and make the backlinks, you post them on the tumblr blog, right? and not the dashboard?

and you use these panels to enter your article with the link to your money site?

However, when I place a link in that description box, it doesn't show up as a hyperlink on the blog.

So for the past week i have left it as <a href="http://www.example.com">money site keyword</a>

Which does provide the hyperlink. But for the past week, the backlink has not transferred even though my tumblr blog has been indexed by google.

So my question is: Am I creating the expired tumblr backlinks correct?

Does a link have to be a clickable hyperlink for it to be crawled?

Are you actually making a blog post with your tumblr account that has your hyperlink in it, and sending links to that blog post?
Or are you just adding a navigational link to your blogs theme?

Yeah so I'm making a blog post with the expired tumblr. And I'm adding a link to my money site. But seems like the backlink is not being crawled.

An example would be a short paragraph about my niche with the link.

Because the links in text box are no follow and they actually contain a meta redirect, you can check that by hovering your cursor where the link is. Not many people know this (or may be they don't want to share this) you can actually still get a d0 follow link by placing your website in the source section. I have been using it for couple of months now and it works fine

Great tip, would this be the same for all no follow web 2.0s?

Also, just to be clear, what do you mean by the source section?

Mine doesn't show a redirect.

When i use <a href="http://www.example.com">money site keyword</a> in the description box there's no redirect

And im checking the source code, it doesn't say "no follow"

Im sooo confused as to why the backlinks are not showing.

This is happening on two tumblrs that im testing

Your post defaults to a no-follow link due to options set in css by tumblr. It isn't required to say that in the actual source code. However, that guy wasn't telling you to look in the "source code." He was telling you to properly set your desired link up as the actual "source" of the content. There is a place to do that on Tumblr, so just google it, and you will figure it out. I absolutely understand how you might have mistaken limasta's advice.

Thanks. I will check out how to make it follow online. Was totally confused, but now it makes sense if it was hard wired in th css.

you can force tumblrs to be indexed by submitting here - https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url?

What do you mean "not showing"??

tumblrs rarely show in majestic because most of them have no trust flow thus they are bottom of the pile in the backlinks section...

My issue was not on indexing, but on the ability for the backlink to be crawled. Also, I have checked dozens of backlink checkers to make sure. But thanks for your input.

can you share your tumblr blog so that we can see the link effect there ?

can somebody share a helpful ebook on how to market on tumblr ?

i need help also with tumblr

A lot of crawlers dont even bother with tumblrs or web 2.0...
like i said you will see tumblrs in majestic if they have high trust flow.

you can see tumblrs being backlinked in google webmaster tools

Is it the source below the articles or do I have to edit the theme HTML or something else?
