Marketplace posting

Currently you have to be Jr.VIP with 100 post to make threads in the Marketplace section.

Let's say, a member was around for a while, has some history on the forum. The member finds a way to provide a valuable services to the forum members, but does not have 100 posts.

Why post count is so relevant. A seller status should be given to a person with a verified/approved product/service by moderator/admin.

The seller makes a deposit(to ensure that he will not scam) and can start the selling thread.

Easy.
Forum members see the deposit amount and make deals with the seller. Everyone wins.

This will attact more business(aka money) to the forum and give huge benefit to the members.

The requirements to open a BST in the marketplace is already so low/easy. I completely condone against making it even easier. There are far too many services on the marketplace at the moment and making the initial requirements "easier" isn't going to do any good - and that's coming from someone who has been selling on here for 5 years.

If a member has been around for a while and has "history" on the forum - then they should already have 100+ posts. Period. 100 posts isn't a lot.

Anyways, completely horrible idea (in my opinion). If anything, the requirements should be even stricter.

Am sure if OP contribute enough in the forum you will soon get to 100 posts.

You're missing the point. You say in your initial post that members who have been around for a while + members that have history should be given a chance. Name me one member who falls into that category who has less than 100 posts. You won't find any. Want to know why? Because all of those members have 100+ posts already.

A deposit isn't going to solve anything and it's certainly not going to prevent scams from happening. The second you allow anyone with any # of posts to have marketplace threads, this forum will go downhill.

If you can't be bothered working your way up to 100+ posts, you don't deserve a BST.

Actually the rule does not force a person to keep posting but rather to ensure that the person that is opening a BST plays well with others, has an ability to share and not just be here to sell to the membership as well as to give the Mods and other members reason to trust you should you want to open a sales thread here.

Your posts speak as to who you are and if you should be trusted and if you have a small amount of posts your sales would not do very well anyway as that is part of the dynamic of a forum.

The thing to realize, OP, is that there is a far bigger issue with low-quality services than there is with people outright scamming others. With that in mind, a deposit doesn't solve much. I would love to see the mod review process become more stringent and actually require an in depth review on the thread itself, but I also appreciate how busy they are and how hard that might be to implement.

BHW is not only a marketplace, its a Good Community. So you must have trust to sell a service. 100 Post is really low to prove that you are not a spammer.

saying having to have 15 posts to pm is to much.
do u no how many accounts lie dormant for months from previous banned
members who would use them for something like this.

the req for a bst is easy as it is 100 posts? there not asking for kidney
ps no way bhw will change this as getting a bst 30$ is tied to being a vip 97$
its part of there income stream for year. wont change.

also lets take u as an example, when a mod reviews a product from a vip
they also review there activity on bhw , so heres yours

That's not true. I run several businesses offline, sell several services on BHW, operate my own churn/burn network as well as run affiliate sites. Oh, and on top of all that, I make sure to post here regularly. I'm not the only member who does that - there are many other members here who make solid money and also have the time to post. If you're serious about selling here, then you need to put in a bit more effort to post here to attain the requirements.

If you're "too busy" to post here then you don't deserve a BST. What's the chances of you getting "too busy" to reply to customer enquiries once your BST goes live? There is a post count requirement for a reason. It isn't going to change anytime soon. If anything, the minimum post requirement will most likely go up.

Hit the nail on the head, Leith. Common sense OP, if you don't have the time to make a measly 100 posts then you don't have time to run a functional thread on the forum. The right threads here can become 6 and even 7 figure businesses (speaking from personal experience) pretty quickly, 100 posts and a small fee are jack shit for the opportunities the traffic here presents.

The rules are there for a reason, they've been there for a long time too.. I wouldn't hold my breath on a new member getting them changed "because I ain't got time to post, I'm too busy".. good luck with that one. "Too busy" there are many ballers here, some run multi 7 figure businesses.. they still find the time to post here and help folks!

All the time taken and posts you made in this thread could have been spent getting involved on the public forums, where posts actually count

so by may 2018 his app for a sales thread should be ready
this also accounts for 3 months off 1 month there 5 months
off 2 months here, i still say if i looked how often he posted and
had to way that up for a reliable seller to keep in touch with
ide be weary of 7 months post activity spread over almost 24months.

makes no sense.
good seller is judged by great product.
once the sale/biz go viral, the seller hires support team to keep up with the requests.
one step forward, you set up online shop to process all the requests, isn't it

anyway it's not going anywhere.

..Everyone picked on the number of posts, but nobody even bothered to think about the escrow deposit for the seller.

If seller does not deliver, forum admin just distribute the deposit made by the seller.

Post count does not matter, as the seller will be interested to deliver great service because he is not willing to loose the deposit.

Such system exist on other forums and it works.
