I deactivated 3 accounts (20-30k), Im really really intrested in this.
I have a decent Fitness account at 100-120k followers with a good name, coupled with a well built hashtag and so on so its not a "gymmotivatebabe name account". I get about 900-1400 likes (I had about 800-900 when the account had 30k...) depending on time, caption, quality and so on and I've noticed some major differences in it the last 3 months, for example i usually follow 1250 on the first day and unfollow the day after, and that always nets me 28-40% followback and always have for 2 years on different accounts, but now all of a sudden i get 10-17% at best.
Also I've noticed when you follow people manually, sometimes on some users you get a notification saying "You cant follow this user at this time due to us limiting him for something something" and its only on a few users here and there when I manually follow/unfollow...
I belive my account might be one like the one mentioned above, so when I follow people, they either:
A) get no notification
B)Cant follow me back due a ghost ban and to the message mentioned above
C) (HIGHLY unlikely) They arent interested to follow me back or the scraped users/different ideas I use are saturated...
The reason why I belive that is hihgly unilkely is that I always switch between following lists from huge 1-2mil accounts, 100k-400k accounts, and even recent likers on photos from athletes, companys and on big various other niche related sites. So its extremly extremly unlikely that I all of a sudden followed/interacted with a good 10 milion users.
I've tried to automate it with followliker making the bot only following people who post rather frequently and are active users with atleast 20-40 posts, but the followback % is not moving in either direction... so the only logical conclusion is either A) Instagram selectivly lets my followings go unnoticed or B) People cant follow me back in larger scales...
If anyone got any insight i'd love to hear your ideas and so on!
(Sorry for the wall of text, have been lurking for a while so had to write it off me... =p )
