Trick Question: Should I redirect empty domains to my website?

I have bought a bunch of domains for my website just in case I need to use them in the future. Right now, I'm trying to boost my website ranking, and I'm building backlinks.

I have redirected a couple of my domains to my website, but then the SEO analyzer told me that the domains should be indexed on Google, otherwise, they would do more harm than good.

My question is: should I redirect and index the empty domain for my website just to boost the number of follow backlinks?

Redirect them to high authority sites.

Not quite sure what u mean. For the empty domains, I should redirect them to let's say Bloomberg or CNN website? How will that help the site that I want to promote?

Al-right, your SEO analyzer had rightly said. If the domain is not indexed, how will you get authority / link juice then.

In my opinion, there is no use in redirecting as you did. You are just redirect the domain name to your website here. By the way, make sure the domains which you bought have got spam free links before redirecting. Hope you understand, let me know if you're still confused- BB.

There is no use for these domains unless they have backlinks of a high quality.!

If that domains are not indexed, you have to index them installing WP (or other CMS) and writing some original posts.
Later wait 1-2 weeks, and when they are indexed, you can redirect 301 them to your money site (if they have a good backlinks profile), or put backlinks pointing to your site and powering them with new backlinks (web 2.0, GSA, etc)

If they are relevent same niche one's then use them for PBN better buying and redirecting wouldn't do anything if they have some authority then link juice will help you rank...

1. Do not redirect extra domains to your websites unless you are planning to map all the legacy backlinks to relevant pages. If you fail to do this you will explode your 404 crawl errors for all the URLs from the extra domains that you no longer support and you would be wasting the link juice.

2. You will also be redirecting all the bot traffic from the extra domains to your site. If you do this with too many extra domains then you can denial of service your own site with bot load.

3. Any toxic backlinks or penalties on the extra domains will point to your website... best to set them up as "microsites" for a while and see if they can still rank in a natural way. If they pass a several month test with good rankings then consider doing more with them. If you just buy domains and point them at your site blindly you are playing Russian roulette.

What exactly does legacy backlinks mean? Sorry, I'm really new to this.

ok! the links that I bought they are just different versions of the company name. For example, my website name is planetofapes. I bought some domains with .ca .us .hk etc, and also some POA domains. I want to know if I should point them to my planetofapes website.

Its not a good idea. Just add a simple html page on domain first to get it indexed and then redirect it.
