You had good intentions, sometimes it turns out to be a bite in your ass for trying to help someone. Some people don't even try to help. That shouldn't mean turning into a person who would never help someone again. Who knows maybe you could be saving a life next.

That reminds me of something that happened to me in elementary school.
A girl in my class lost a $20 bill and suspected that someone in the class pilfered it from her backpack. The teachers (there were 2) asked each student to leave the class and wait outside.
I was the last one out of the class when I had noticed a $20 bill under her chair in the classroom. I picked it up, walked up to the girl and the teachers and said, "Is this your money?". "Yeah, he stole it! That's why he was the last one out of the classroom!", is what the girl said to me. I was livid and began calling the girl incompetent and told the teachers that she had a long history of not being very attentive in class in the first place.
Luckily, the teachers believed me as they knew I wasn't stupid enough to do something petty like take money from a student, especially one who sat on the other side of the classroom with not 1, but 2 teachers watching.

You should have told her to make back the cash she lost on her card you are giving her a custom affiliate offer link, and you are willing to pay her xx% based on the sales she generates for your services and or products.
Also, you did take it too far but now you let her know you have nothing to hide. It is all in the wording to control ones emotions with psychology ... and plus it seems that you burned a bridge with her for possible local expansions of quick profits from her friends. Imagine being able to expand for quick sale profits based on interests her and her friends have. I would have scrapped all her friends and offered her commission bonuses based on sales generated from her friends.

Lol well the other day I lost my wallet that had a part of my rent in it around $1000 dollars. Lost it by getting a ticket from a parking garage when i didnt pull close enough to the damn booth. Long story short it was never found. Made someones day. Hope this makes you feel better about your situation. :violin:

Weird response. In no way have you refuted anything Typlo said. We already know OP was pissed. The question is why would something so trivial prompt such a response? For me, this would be something to laugh at. Definitely not worth investing the time to find her email address and send an irate email (which could, in turn, prompt even more drama).
